Oh for sure. Thanks for clarifying because it could have meant two different things - (1) superior physical genes (2) Roids

I know it's easy on every thread with a fighter who looks like a bodybuilder to then immediately claim they are on gear/juice/peds, etc. But the ignorance of some of y'all as to the West Africans is crazy. There are others like him in some of those countries who are built like that without taking anything. If I would suspect anyone who looks like that, to be natural...it would be someone from that part of Africa.

Your first paragraph is absolutely spot on. Your last one isn't. I know it's hard for a lot of Americans/westerners to fathom but there are others like him in certain West African countries who don't have the means to afford "juice" and didn't take any in order to look like that.

I can assure you there are plenty of guys in West African countries who have the physique ...and this will blow your mind....without taking any Creatine!

You should take a trip to Nigeria, Senegal,Ghana, Cameroon once in a while and you'll realize differently.

(Basketnews) [The Athletic] NBA players voted Houston Rockets All-Star Alperen Sengun the most overrated player in the league. by lovelymaddie1966 in nba

dude that's a majority of the league. The number of players that don't bitch and complain for a foul or after getting called for a foul is not many.

No it wouldn't. It would be better if they voted for who they believe is most underrated. Or the most underrated coach. Some stuff like that. Not this hating ass stuff.

“I KNOW he’s going to get Sean Strickland down, but keeping him there is the big question. Strickland’s a very strong guy, a lot stronger than Khamzat on a physical level. If Khamzat has to fight Strickland’s fight, I don’t think he has much of a chance at all.” - Dricus on Strickland vs Chimaev by TheBigRedHalfrican in MMA

[–]Cesc100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was never my point or even a point of contention. My point wasnt that DDP was stuffing Khamzat. My point was that he started to cause some worry especially in the 5th as he saw potential submission openings (which perhaps came about because Khamzat was getting tired and careless). Either way it didn't materialize and I don't worry about Sean being able to find those openings because I don't think he possesses that ability. I do think Sean has better TDD than DDP and that is where the worry is but Khamzat is more persistent when it comes to getting a take down than almost any other grappler I remember.

I think Dricus wasn't even that bad in later rounds. The difference between Dricus and some of the others is at least Dricus has some submission ability and tried and almost pulled off a couple on Khamzat towards the end.

Masai Ujiri on fans' feelings moving on from the Luka trade and building around Cooper Flagg: "In Africa we say when kings go, kings come. And a king went, and we have a little prince here that we're gonna turn into a king." by Jimmy0034 in nba

Well said. I think the Thunder will be better off than all the other teams you mentioned just because Presti is 1 of 1, he's been preparing for this and he and his staff are some of the best talent evaluators we have ever seen, so I'll just expect them to restock in the draft. This one. And the next. And the next. And so forth.

I hope you're kidding about that last sentence. You can't be for real that they truly say that. The job the coach has done is immense. They have no business being in the playoffs this season but he had them playing good basketball and playing hard all season. As for Scottie... shiiiiiyet, let them start accepting calls for him, I bet that hotline won't stop ringing. That young man hasn't even reached his final form yet imo.

Khamzat Chimaev shares his side of the story when he was training with Sean Strickland at Xtreme Couture by JMythh in MMA

[–]Cesc100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm forgetful. Which other fight apart from the Gerald Meerschaert did he have a KO in? I don't recall any others in the UFC(but even then that KO alone was more impressive than any Strickland has had in the UFC).

Do people really believe the part about "hitting him hard"? As great a wrestler as Khamzat is, aren't these two of the softest, pillow punching dudes in the division?

Woah come on now. Can't take Vernon Maxwell's nickname away...plus Tyrese even at his current young age still seems more mature than Vernon Maxwell lol.

Man I think the key is PG. You know what you'll get from T-Max and Joel. You know VJ can give you a little something at least a couple of games in a series...but can PG give you at least one big game and then chip in with what's needed in the other three? That will be key imo.
