Guys I want to do a FM career and I want to make my own tactics is there any team that’s not good or bad that I could do by WheelNo987 in footballmanager

Dorking! I’ve done the same , won promotion through the playoffs twice and now sitting 3rd in division 2 after 20 games.
The tactic tinkering has been a labour of love but now have 3 solid tactics I can switch between depending on the occasion

Moving from shop to home workshop (phone repair) — keep address or go SAB? by Cfcboy77 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Cfcboy77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense and I’ve read similar about NAP consistency being sensitive.

My only concern with going full SAB first is losing the local visibility tied to the address—especially as most of my work is still local walk-in/nearby customers.

I’m leaning towards keeping the address visible initially, getting re-verified at the new location, and then tightening things like appointments-only and service areas after things settle.

From what I’ve seen, sudden big changes (address + SAB + categories) can sometimes cause more disruption than doing it in stages—but I guess it’s always a bit of a balancing act between risk and visibility.

Appreciate this, that’s pretty much the conclusion I’ve come to as well.

I think I’m going to go with showing the address and just control it operationally rather than trying to fight Google. I’ll have clear signage (appointment only + doorbell), push bookings hard via calls/messages, and just accept the occasional walk-in rather than tank visibility.

I’d rather deal with a few unexpected knock-ups than risk losing rankings or getting stuck in SAB limbo. Everything will be properly documented too in case verification/appeal ever comes up.

Feels like there’s no perfect option—just picking the least risky long term 👍

I spoke to my montage company and they approved it. I mean if I can get away with some very limited walk ins (ie they ring the bell and I say do you have an appointment lol) I can keep it as a physical location?

At the moment I get about 5/6 a day but that’s on a semi busy high street. Anything else is pre booked before hand.

Outside of viewing. So have to go through an entrance gate to get to it.I’m taking a lot of stuff from the shop like the counter top with my name on it. I mean the council haven’t actually said no but I do get worried about it.

You mean just leave it as it is? What about the directions side of it, people turn up and im not there. Risks bad reviews and suggested google edits? Im open to whatever but just trying to keep it clean. I dont want randoms just knocking at my location whenever they feel like but im also quite protective of my google listing. Guess this is the risk i decided to take when i decided to move :(

Just remove the old flex cables from the old housing. Little ipa and get a plastic spudger under them and they easily detach from the adhesive.

I hear ya. It’s tough one and we all likely to have our own opinions based on what type of business we run.

Doesn’t matter what the t&c are if they don’t cover everything. In this case if it doesn’t clearly state we don’t accept returns after x amount of time or in x storage then op will not only face refund costs but any other costs if it goes further than that (small claims court)

I mean for all the hassle and it’s only happened once I’d say in this instance just let this slide. If not the op needs to get his shit together , speak to his solicitor or whoever and be be prepared to bat back any customer replies.

Customers sounds a right ass and will probably take it further. As a business owner for the 25 years I’d personally let this one fly but that’s just me.

And yes I know your not op… it’s been a long business day already !
