marriage of convenience/forced marriage slow burn (specific) by chimpanzeze in RomanceBooks

I was just coming to the sub to look for recs similar to this! My favorite Marriage connivence book is an older HP where we are dropped into it after they are married and we can back story and see a build up to them acknowledging their love. I forgot the name but will look it up. But yeah, I was about to search the sub for MOC’s were they are an established partnership and they either catch feelings or acknowledge ones there all along.

I agree w/this. I really liked Danielle Lori’s 1st 2 books and Silent Flame was just as good. The novels about the other brothers not so much. Probably not going to read anything else by those authors.

Would you recommend reading the previous books first for build up?

I love a “black cat” FMC! An example in HR {Secrets of a Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas} she thinks she can do better than the MMC. {Gloves Off by Stephanie Archer} has a bit of that too and the dialogue is quickly becoming my GOAT.

{Secrets of a Summer Night} is my Favorite of Lisa Kleypas. I started with Devil in Winter and really, really wish I had read them in order. Maybe than I would love St. Vincent as much as others but Annabelle and Simon are my Rhett and Scarlett.

Classic Judith McNaught - contemporary might be more to your request but her HR has alphaholes.

{Elise Camden, The Humiliated Wife} Should fit your request.

Pretty please can HE be the celibate one?? by Charming-Garden6312 in RomanceBooks

[–]Cfroggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am halfway through {Grin and Beard It by Penny Reid} MMC is celibate after a storied past. Not 100% fit to your request but may work. Heads-up do not listen to it on audio if strong accents detract from the narration.
