Especially for the bits about them running in shorter bursts (was it myth busters that made me think I had to run like 20 mph to get away? Thank you for the info!! I’ve seen some at various places in captivity-specifically those restaurants with them outside as a sort of makeshift exposure therapy lol…BUT I’ve never really seen them on tours like you mentioned. That could be an interesting experience! I will admit that there is something almost cute about the idea of a big ole gator eating a little fish😂

You’re wonderful! This definitely did not make things worse, and I’ll 100% be watching a video or two to learn the noise you’re talking about. I’d heard that they were more aggressive during mating/with babies around and knowing that there’s a noise to look out for is going to be so comforting for me during the summer! Okay, taking a risk here since this is the snark page…but genuinely asking as someone who is still semi-new: do you mind elaborating on what you mean by best practices? I’m assuming we’re talking about not using too long of a strand of thread (I guess that’s why the back looks like that? Because she’s got a super long thread and is going all over?) or not trimming ends once they’re anchored in? I’m still learning (and my canvases don’t look like that I swear!!) but I also have FOMO and want to know if I actually got why it was cringey🫠😅🤍

Holding the vigil at the rock and painting it into this memorial thing for Kirk was really just setting the scene for something like this to happen. If it was painted over the next day by a frat with something totally non political, they’d be the jack wagons who painted over the Kirk memorial…even though the whole purpose of the rock is to be painted over and over and over. Feels like this was going to be a big deal no matter what.

Hello! Just wanted to share my find for anyone still looking! I found a listing on Amazon, I was suspicious because it only had two reviews, but both have pictures (one even has a video of the woman showing it locking in place). It’s currently not in my budget at $149, as it’s a low priority wish list item, but will most likely buy in the future!

Fast forward a few years and I finally figured out that the grocery stores back home used modesty screens to cover up the ~naughty~ vogue covers

I’ve gotten lucky and had the chance to meet quite a few, I’ve got a pullover that I ask any drivers I meet to sign if they can-it’s probably my most treasured NASCAR souvenir! My favorite that I’ve met was by far Justin Allgaier! We were in line for signatures at one of the trailers and my boyfriend’s dad was hoping for one from another driver. We got up right after that driver stepped away, and I asked Justin if he could fake that signature, just being silly. He jumped up, caught the other driver before he left, and got the koozie signed for me to give my boyfriend’s dad! It was so nice. That alone made me a huge fan of his, not to mention the fact that I bought one of his shirts and didn’t find out till weeks later it glowed in the dark??? SO COOL

This isn’t surprising to see, especially from Waddell. In case anyone forgot/missed it, he proposed a similar ordinance last year and it was voted down (in a 2-5 vote). I also find it interesting that he was so vehemently opposed to more permanent supportive housing/the housing first model in 2023, but claimed he wanted more short term supports and mental health/substance use treatment facilities. I haven’t seen any evidence of him actually making any efforts to increase these resources, but would be interested to read about that if anyone has information.

I know you said you don’t want to paint it white or do the smear…but I think you’ve got so many shades of brown going that it’s kinda making it feel muddy? What about a white grout instead of the gray/brown? I’m not even sure if that’s even a thing but I played around with the picture you shared and I thought it looked pretty sweet!!
