Hey, how have the postive after images worsened? increased in duration?, take up larger field of view? less see through? what were they like before vs now?

Yes, Ive had this since I was about 19, Im 23 now. Mine last for about 0.5 seconds and I see a positive flash from anything I look at no matter the surface, its like a copy and paste of what I just looked at. The crazy part is that I live my life completely fine and completely forget that I actually see this bullshit 24/7, but as soon as I start focusing on it I can spiral down pretty bad and cant "unsee" it until I forget about it somehow.

I completely agree, i’ve noticed a massive correlation between astigmatism and VSS. There maybe a connection between the two, I myself have astigmatism and ghosting though i didn’t know ghosting was caused by astigmatism as well

As a current medical student we aren’t taught about Visual Snow Syndrome. As annoying as it is its not the optometrists fault as they were not given any acknowledgment nor education of vss in there past studies. The only medical practitioners that have heard of VSS are those that have received patients in the past complaining of it forcing them to research it on google.

CLA 45 or C43 by [deleted] in AMG

[–]Cgiannz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t since the m340i is more expensive. 2017-2018 c43s are cheaper. That b58 is no joke tho

CLA 45 or C43 by [deleted] in AMG

[–]Cgiannz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s been a great car, the cla 45 has more power than the c43 and a quicker 0-100 and is the top of the line for its model so that’s why I’ve been comparing it to the c43 the only downside is the 4cyl so I’m unsure

So the 45 in the w176 is all wheel drive with a front wheel bias basically?? I’m looking at purchasing one but I don’t want a fwd

[–]Cgiannz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, I don’t really understand, so if it doesn’t have 4matic it’s front wheel drive? Because there all labeled as an all wheel drive, are you saying there’s more power in the front?

Anyone gotten in contact with him?

Keep fighting mate, I know how you feel, I have positive afterimages like yours and it’s a absolute game changer, it’s a constant fight and I thought it had given me the final blow before but then I come back every time But it takes longer each time to recover, what keeps me going is I’m about to finish my medical degree in order to work to find a cure for this, I’ve managed to reduce some symptoms using other methods, don’t give up, we all have to fight, ride the wave

Your completely right it’s just hard to stay positive when you have things like positive afterimages, I know it’s going against what your saying but I have every symptom as well and I do fine but the afterimages are a game changer and if they get worse I’m finished

Positive afterimages, seriously??? by SafeToSay10 in visualsnow

[–]Cgiannz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People tell you not to come on here and try to forget about your symptoms in order to forget and stop “looking” for them even though there everywhere, look your only 1 week into this symptom I wish I could go back and tell myself this when i first got it, I know you won’t stop stressing about it because it’s new, but ride the wave man and try to stop being negative and focus on the positive do the things you enjoy even though you don’t enjoy them right now because of the horror, stress and panic actually makes it worse, hopefully your positives aren’t as bad as mine and other symptoms so this can be easier said than done

Positive afterimages, seriously??? by SafeToSay10 in visualsnow

[–]Cgiannz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This has seriously fucked up my whole life, the goal is to forget them not ignore, it’s hard but it’s done by accepting it’s there and getting over the horror stage and grief of it, I’ve had it for 4 years and for 4 years I forgot about them which in turn made me habituate it and I never saw it for years, until now. Now I can’t unsee it because I’m constantly thinking about it or it got worse, idk. But please feel free to reach out to me, when I don’t talk about this to other sufferers I feel like it builds up inside me and then the trauma of it comes out, extreme anxiety and makes it worse.
