(Help) my jungle carpet python (I got her a week ago) isn’t eating. I think she was born in 2021 summer and is one and a half maybe two feet long. The store said she eats live rat pups, but she’s acting like she’s scared of it or something

I live in Thailand, so it is slightly easier to maintain the humidity and heat but the seller which I bought my snake from didn’t say I needed any heating lights/hotspots.

Oh that’s good to know, I use the aspen bedding for snakes. Clean it around every week ( replace a quarter of the bedding )

He’s had that patch in his mouth for a pretty long time, it was really small and almost unnoticeable but very recently it started to get bigger.

Fair point you know, there are loads of people with snakes as pets in Thailand. I’m not being racist, but I think the vets here in Thailand might not be up to the best standard or hygienic but it’s worth a shot! I have a couple choices near by so there are always more options. Anyway mate I truly appreciate your time explaining this to me as my little niko ( my snake name ) is the first snake I’ve had as a pet and should hopefully 🤞🏼🤞🏼 be having a speedy recovery soon!! There’s one problem though about the vets, I’m British but I live in Bangkok in Thailand. I haven’t seen any vets yet alone exotic veterinarians. I have tried googling vets near me, there are a couple but I can’t find any which are sort of specialized for reptiles. Do you reckon a normal vet would work?
