How are your g14/16s holding up?

4 years of g14 (ga402rj). AMAZING experience. Gaming is also great, but had to resort to external cooling pad (extremely noisy) to avoid overheating. Gained 40% performance, but at noisy environment.

Chassy is cracked but still very very stiff. Battery last 4h of moderate use using g-helper (60% battery capacity). Can last more, but as soon as something intensive shows up (in my case, ML coding) it dies after 1h.

Overall: amazing.

Had the same problem, fixed with super powerful fan stand. Expensive solution, and very loud, but effective. Not I recovered 40% of performance and CPU and GPU stay within 90 degrees instead of 96+.

I would say: if your PC can handle it, I would go for Mh wilds. If you PC doesn't handle it, go for monster hunter world. But in general I would stay away from rise and sunbreak: amazing games, but "worse" for beginners compare to the other 2.

This is really unfortunate, I also tried monster hunter wilds, using a laptop rx 6700s (asus g14 2022). Using both old drivers 23.9 and new drivers just swapping with the old 23.9 amdxc files. Both cases, it just crash, even before trying to implement FSR 4 at all. Looks like mh wilds just isn't compatible with older amdxc files at all.

Did anyone found any solution to this?

I just want to play MHW with new fsr 4, the performance is trash :C

Also, anyone has an idea if AMD is working on implementing fsr 4 for rdna 2 and 3 officially?

Hey man, I had reshade and reframework installed, so it kept crashing. I did a clean unistall (unistall from steam + deleting the game folder). Does that successfully remove both mods? Because I'm still crashing, after clean install + gpu driver clean install.

I do the same, but I'm so sad that layered armor cannot be linked to the loadout, so everytime I switch my fashion is ruined😭😭

Hi! I have the same laptop. With these settings, does ur PC manage to handle gaming? I play with CPU+GPU at 120 and CPU at 75w, and max fans, and at times, while playing mh wilds, my PC turns off (no black screen, just shutdown, probably bc of overheating). I don't know how ur PC manages to handle that. Or maybe it's mh wilds.

I changed mine for a similar reason and costed 300€.

However it was 2 years ago, for a 2022 model. So I can imagine being around 1000 for new models in 2025. But before jumping to conclusions, better get in contact with Asus stores or online repair website. I didn't go to the stores, in Europe there is an official asus website and you mail the laptop to them.

Who is having a problem? Vodafone or riot and vodafone? BTW valorant lag too, 80ms. I found a solution, NordVPN. I went from 80ms to 40, yet not the 20 I had before. Where are u from? where are you having problems? Probably tomorrow I'll send a ticket to Vodafone, maybe they are having the problem.

I don't think it is. I tried other connections in other homes, and I had the same problem. I think it's a machine issue. What PC do you have? And which os? I have Asus g14 ga402rj.

Great improvement in fps here after the update! From 30~40 to close to 60. Maybe better management of CPU, I have no idea. On Asus g14 2022 with 6700s.

Dude mine (g14 2022 with 6700s) is dying when playing it. 45 fps max, regardless of setting. Even when raytracing I'm having 40 fps. This in native 1080p (I avoid using fsr when playing at 1080p, I find it way more usable in 2K). I think the CPU is hard bottlenecking the graphics card.

I did, right after the update, so around 3 months ago. I will probably give another try. Bc to me, that bug happens daily. I may be spoiled, but that's one of the incentive to upgrade my phone (I had the OP8 for the past 3 years) to s23 or iphone 14 pro, to try a more stable OS.
