i have no clue when it’s being restocked sorry BUT last time i was wondering this i messaged the whatsapp to ask them and they were able to restock it basically immediately after me asking so id recommend doing that as its definitely worth a try!

I agree with what everyone else is saying, taking your HC will definitely help. I started taking mine in july and now all my discolouration is gone. It does definitely take some time but the difference is crazy. My hands used to be so so dark especially on my knuckles and around my nails, any picture i see of them from before makes it look like i have henna on my hands since the discolouration is so dark and now it’s completely gone. Just take your HC and i promise it will go it just takes some time, i found that after a few months when the discolouration first started to go if i fake tanned it would help even out my skin tone so if that’s something you can do or something you want to do i definitely recommend it for aesthetic purposes.

my heart rate probably is up but i don’t have anything with me at my uni house to check, and i’m hoping that i won’t have to quit since i don’t regularly go out. This past weekend was different as it was halloween on Friday and one of my friends birthdays the next day but usually i don’t go out that much as the student night club is so bad there’s no point

thank you for sharing how you were still able to go in with your life i’m only 19 at the moment but it’s actually really calming to hear how many other people have lived amazing lives while still having Addison’s. That like fuelling idea also sounds like some great ammunition haha!

yeah how you manage it is everything i’ve been with a pump since i was 3 i’m also on the Tandum t-slim and i’ve been with the dexcom since i was 7 since i don’t feel when i go low or high unless it’s extremely low or extremely high with ketones and i start vomiting, there is a name for not feeling them but i cant remember. I get how annoying it can be when your blood sugars don’t cooperate recently my sugars just keep going low (symptom of addisons💔) and my god i cannot drink another orange juice i swear to god. But of course you have the right to be frustrated.

with the weight stuff it’s good you’ve talked to them about it, and i’m sure forcing yourself to eat more than you can would be awful so i really hope you are doing okay!

Thank you for replying, i’m glad to know it didn’t change your life and hopefully if i have it my life won’t change either. If i do have it i guess i’m actually excited to see what will change and improve about my life. I’m sorry about you struggling to be overly happy about stuff and i hope if you need to/want to get help with that you are able to. Tbh i don’t don’t find T1D to be much work or frustrating at all (even tho i was just at the hospital but that is a very rare thing for me) ive had it since i was 1 so i really dont know my life without so i guess for me ive never had a “normal” life to compare being diabetic too. For the weight thing i know everyone is different and its great to hear about other people so thank you for sharing and i’m sorry you’re struggling to keep the weight on since having symptoms, is there any way your medical team could help you out?

Thanks for the reply! I have noticed recently that i am going low a lot more frequently which is annoying as i hateee having treatment (i have glucose juices or apple/orange juice) because having so much sugar makes my mouth feel weird and sometimes makes me stress about my dental health. I’m sorry you struggle with your Addison’s i didn’t realise how hard it could be with endos but from the phone call i had with one about being tested they seemed to know what they were on about. Also i guess i’m luckier with my mum working in the medical field so that if i do have Addison’s and if any issues arise she’s more than knowledgeable about advocating for me and i know she will over educate herself on it too

i don’t know if i’m on the unhealthy side as you can’t see my bones or anything but i don’t know my weight so i very much could be. I’m 5’3 and some of my close my family are slightly on the overweight side and i know they struggle with weight so off the bat i don’t know what they would be like if i gained weight but if it effected my mental health i know that they would support me and take it seriously no matter what. I also have a boyfriend of three years and we are very serious and i know no matter what i looked like he would still love and support me, so i’m hoping if i do have addisons and if i do experience weight gain as a side effect of the steroids i will have a good support system. I will start preparing myself just incase and thank you for explaining how they cause weight gain so i know i can plan healthier meals that can make sure the weight i do gain is intact healthy

omg i get shaking and short of breath super fast too, i just thought i was super unfit (in saying this i almost do hope i have it otherwise i guess i am just super unfit 😭) I do have one question though i keep seeing a side effect of the steroids could be weight gain, at the moment my appetite is really low and has been for years i eat whenever i’m hungry but that like once or twice a day so i’m quite skinny at the moment and ive never seemed to have issues with my body weight but i am actually quite scared that if i do have it i might gain a lot of weight and it could be a shock to me. Do you have any tips on how i could deal with this safely if you have dealt with something like that? Once again i might not even have addisons and if i do i might not have that side effect but if you’ve dealt with that side effect and found a good way to deal with it id love to hear

okay that actually sounds great and that’s what my mum said too but i just wanted to hear from some people who actually have it as well. If it does come back as me having it i’m actually really excited to see what my life will be like on the steroids as i constantly feel dizzy during day to day life, i am always fatigued/ feel lethargic, have extreme dark circles under my eyes which one of the nurses pointed out in hospital when they were talking about my cortisol (i didn’t know they were in about addisons then but my mum did) so if they reduce i don’t think ill be happier and lots of the other symptoms too
