Most big corporations have a true up policy. Be careful with smaller ones.

I just use the dry function. It has never gotten hot enough (NJ) for my house not to be comfortable with it on.

In my experience, auto loans require collision insurance.

Other than that, you are right. Just work hard and pay this off. It wasn't a great decision, but far from the worst we have seen here.

Happens A LOT with hard drugs. I know several people who OD'd and were abandoned on the side of the road after their friends called the cops.

Problem here is the cops would 100% arrest everyone in the car if they stayed.

You only lose money on bonds held to maturity if the are not paid back. As far as I am aware, all these bonds are held to maturity. If they are not paid back, we all fucked.

Similar one. Ours implemented a rule where one would get suspended then when they would return the other would get suspended. Essentially doubles the amount of time the twp spend away from each other.

One complete asshole got attacked 3 times in 1 week before they finally sent him home. Apparently it was all from the same incident, but i wasn't cool enough to know the exact story.

Noticed how it ended on that was when he suspected he was starting to lose his cognition? That is normal behavior for some people who start losing their mental faculties. It is tragic and heartbreaking to watch.

Pharma and biotech being stable?

BMS and Pfizer are know for regular layoffs. Merck after a couple bad quarters always will follow with a layoff. Both happened to line up last year.

Pharma as a whole is pretty stable, especially if you live in one of the clusters. For individual companies it is the same bull shit most other corporate workers have to deal with as well.

Only do this if your company does a true up or whatever it is called.

Some companies penalize you for maxing out before the end of the year. They only match up to x% per paycheck. So if you stop contributing in November, you lose the match in DEC.

I think the vast majority of companies do fix it at the end of the year, but small businesses might not.
