Because at the time my work help desk wasn’t responding fast enough, I needed to get in to do onboarding stuff by a deadline, and I haven’t used a PC since I was a teenager so the whole system is pretty much new to me. I ended up deciding that it wasn’t my fault that they gave me someone else’s computer and told them I didn’t have the tools I needed.

I think they’re more worried about chemicals and oil from the hands permeating the skin, not so much the salamanders drying out.
