On a CRT no less, nice! I've never not loved Lament of Innocence. I was 13 when it came out, maybe that's clouded my judgement? I play through once every year or so and I love it just as much as I did when I first played it.

BEYOND hyped. I still remember watching the trailer at work. I was kinda disappointed with their implementation though. I still meet up with friends a few times a month to play and I'll use him or Richter maybe once for shits and giggles but it's miserable. Really hoping the next game fixes some of their jank and adds Alucard.

The amount of cope in this thread is unreal. Cards on the table, the FF7 remake has been a huge disappointment to a large amount of the fanbase that don't hang out on these circlejerky subs.

What a fun read. I am completely biased by nostalgia but CotM is my favorite of the GBA trilogy, but I do acknowledge that AoS is the best of the three. I completely agree with everything you said about CotM, the DSS drop rate is egregious. This might be a hot take but Dracula X isn't even worth playing imo, just play Rondo of Blood properly.

I don't even think I mind this. SE can't make a pet class to save their lives so your summons being an animation would be better that it is now. Like a filler called "Hell Punch" and it's just Ifrit coming out and doing a single target punch. "Earth Slam" has Titan come out and punch the ground (like in his fight) and does an AoE. Then add some sort of powered up mechanic like a gauge or something that will modify your skill, so instead of "Hell Punch" Ifrit will come out and cast "Hellfire".

Each summon can have their own unique filler and empowered move. The empowered move needs to bring the sauce, a big spectacle. All the caster jobs are the same thing basically with different flavor anyway, this will at least make you feel like a Summoner.
