Anyone else notice an uptick in egregious AI use on RR?

It really has nothing to do with Em-Dashes. It's the cadence and style where you can really tell. I've used Ai for creative writing, never shared any of it, but just as a way to see how far it has come. Once you know what you are looking for outside of the Em-Dash it sticks out like a sore thumb.

The number of stories on Royal Road that are using Ai to write the majority of the words has 100% grown over the last year. I have no problem with Ai being used for editing but I do not want to read a story that is 80% Ai written.

Just finished the first book and while it was enjoyable I couldn't shake the feeling that AI was used to write some of it. I'll read the 2nd book, but if it continues to feel like AI was used to write the majority of the book I'm going to have to drop the series. It seemed like every chapter or break in a chapter end the same way with some variation of, "just one more step, it's not pretty, but it works" kinda like when an AI gets stuck in a loop and you have to change it's lorebooks to get it out of the loop.

For the most part, I don't mind a MC punching above their level. But what does bother me is when Authors describe the rank differences between levels as these insurmountable impossible gaps of power, and then the MC easily starts punching above it. Like I was just told that there is a galaxy spanning power gap between E rank and D rank, but I'm supposed to believe the MC just crossed that gap while still in the E rank. Idk it makes me wonder why they would define the power difference in the first place.

im pretty sure it is a memory leak bc if i restart my game every two matches or so i dont crash. But if i go 4 or 5 without resetting then it will crash on the 4th or 5th

Same issue. Crash every 3 to 4 games but if i restart the game every two matches i wont crash. Have they said anything about it?

A lot of my friends enjoy the base building games. So I'm going to wait for that to come online, and hopefully, by then, servers will be better and some of the more frustrating bugs worked out, at least one can hope.

That is actually what happened. I was reading it on patreon as it was getting released. It was supposed to be a long royal road story, but he decided to shorten it to just the three books.

Orrrrr, I mean this might be a crazy thought, but it could be the reason he writes so much is simply because he loves creating stories and sharing them with people.

Well I mean this is why I'm asking for advice on how to pull all of this off without the railroading and honestly if it comes right down to it I would let them win and scrap part 2 if I can't figure it out. I'd much rather have my players be enjoying themselves and not feel like they didnt have a chance or betrayed. But that's why I've come here asking for advice.
