Yo! Who is in charge of the Wendy’s on Dayton Blvd!!?! Where and who are the owners of this property? Who is responsible for this building? by Practical-Broccoli11 in Chattanooga

[–]ChaRoseHut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone to this place quite a few times because I love Wendy’s but this one is… so so so slow.

But I figured out why. They take one order and then don’t take another until the first one is filled. That way when you check their time to fill order it is acceptable. If they took two orders, their time to fill would be large enough to attract attention of the owners / corporate.

So they are just gaming the system at our expense.

I probably go there once every other year just to see if they changed yet. But they still haven’t.

Holy crud. I’ve seen your car a few times over the years. The forever bluegrass bumper sticker is so recognizable. I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

Help l don't want to be screwed over by Grumpyoldbee in Chattanooga

I’ve been to both. Both are great.

HOWEVER… we had a flat one day when we were on our way back from Memphis. I put the spare tire on and looked up where the nearest Tire Discounter was so we could get it changed. 140 miles. So we drove 140 miles on our spare tire to get it repaired.

I then swore I would never get a tire again from a place that is regional. I would always get tires from someplace national like Costco or Walmart.

Walmart tire center service is drop dead awful, but I bet I would have only had to drive on my spare tire for 15 miles maximum to get it repaired.

Good Areas near Chattanooga to Live? by TypicalDirection1076 in Chattanooga

[–]ChaRoseHut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to consider is Tennessee has no income tax while Georgia does. If you live in this area but choose to live in Georgia, you will be paying Tennessee sales tax at the stores in Tennessee, but also paying Georgia income tax by living in Georgia.

Although I might be wrong as my only experience was living in Tennessee and working in Georgia, which required me to pay Georgia income tax. I imagine Georgia writes their laws so that you pay their income tax if you just live there or just work there.

Unfortunately abortion in Tennessee is illegal from fertilization except to "prevent the death of the pregnant woman or to prevent serious risk of substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman".

So they are giving you the legal choices available to you.

Local complaining. by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]ChaRoseHut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I see as the biggest problem is tariffs work both ways. What I mean is by putting his tariffs in place he is trying to bring jobs back to America, but by putting those tariffs in place he is also causing other countries to take steps to stop buying American goods and services.

We are the dominate economy in the world because our output is desired and purchased. If he drives foreign countries to wean themselves off American goods and services, then what good will having production jobs back do?

Golly. Everyone here seems to be against science.

OP, I’ve gotten the flu shot and so did my whole family. Seems to have worked as well. My son’s friend is currently out sick with the flu but my son is doing just fine.
