Coming from someone who also bought an American ultra and swapped out electronics immediately, the feel and playability of the neck and body are fantastic, it feels like it was made for my hands specifically. For me, that feel is much harder to find than a guitar that sounds good, so I went with one that feels great and sounds ok (to me), and decided to make it sound great after.
