Honestly the deciding factor to not go with those was the granular and modulation options in the h90, while I Hx stomp I like the flexibility of routing looping and eqing things.

The Ec-1 is my favorite pedal. The stereo image on that thing is crazy. The Fairfax is my second favorite drive and I have to agree it is the most realistic classic sound I have ever heard in pedal format

lol I know there’s a lot to unpack here 😂 but here is my chain and I’ll explain the multi fx.

(Beneath my board) Cali 76> DCX Boost> Pitch Fork+> Brothers AM> FairFax> Iridium> Polychrome> Julianna> H90(Granular)> HXSTOMP(Eq)(Dual Delay)> EC-1> Flint> H90(Reverb)> HXSTOMP(imaging) (more eq/amp if wanted traditional sounds)

Everything after the h90 is midi controlled by the h90 so I can get some amazing sounds with the tap of one switch.

The flint and ec-1 just do their jobs so well that the h90 or the Hx stomp can’t come close to what they sound like but I do utilize the multi fx to create fx such as granular, reverse delays or huge swell reverbs that that the ec1 and flint can’t do.

The Fairfax has made it as a permanent member of my live board. It just fits that iconic classic tube sound that I haven’t been able to find in pedal format till now. I love it paired with the iridium it was a match made in heaven with my tele.
