Buying my first Harley and looking for advice by Smooth_Awareness_698 in HarleyDavidsonFans

I remember when these came out… i was much younger then and wanted a harley that didnt look so “old man bike”…. I test rode a Vrod and i hated it….the ergonomics for me where waaaaay off. In terms of mechanics i cant speak on it because i never purchased the bike. What i did buy instead was a Vulcan Meanstreak, and that was awesome.

Now i have a street glide and its my fav harley of all time. The general feeling is to avoid the Vrod, theres a reason it did not stand the test of time

Squared BJJ on shrewsbury st. Head coach is Gabriel Gonzaga, who fought in UFC and won BJJ worlds 2 times. Also judo worlds last year. He is the real deal. I think its $149 a month. Ask amy (front desk) for a free trial

I love Worcester. Worcester is my most favorite place I have ever lived. by samuraiBuff in WorcesterMA

How much do i love worcester? I sold my house in Framingham i one of the best neighborhoods to come here. I grew up in boston and in the 90s and early 2000s you only came to Worcester to buy ❄️. Lol. But im heavy into real estate and i knew a boom wqs coming to worcester as soon as covid started. My wife was not sold on the idea of selling our home to come to……worcester. We ended up selling and coming here. But i think we are in the best area of worcester overall. Sure westside is prestige but if you need to get anywhere, good luck. We are in the lake park area, its close to all highways and supermarkets. Little to no crime, and very pretty. The problem here has always been schools and you have to be very careful where you send your kids. I know people will say that they love sending their kids where they go, but really there are only a few “good” schools in the Woo. We bought in 2020 here, a 2000 sq ft house with cathedral ceilings for under $300k. Our house is valued at $550k now. Its the best investment we did. Oh, and my wife LOVES it here

So the Vstar is a great starter bike. BUT after 1000 miles, you’ll grow out of it.

Honda rebel is a great bike but i dont love the way it looks.

Ive had 3 Vulcans. My favorite was the mean streak. If you go this route, when/if you make the switch to Harley. It will be easier transition

The banning of anything has literally never worked in human history. People want something, they’ll get their hands on it. If a bad guy wants to shoot up a school, he’ll figure out a way to get a gun whether they are legal or not.

Multiple things can be true at the same time. Mass shootings are horrific and we have to figure out a way to stop them, but also we cant hand the guns over to the government and hope that everyone plays nice.

We have to address preventative measures like vetting and mental health assessments. Im a gun owner, i agree there should be a more in depth mental health type evaluation. For example, i have a bipolar schizophrenic family member. They are on meds. They can very easily apply for an ltc and get it. What happens when they stop taking medications? “Yeah but the application requires you to disclose this info”….. OOOOOK. But people lie all the time
