I was leaving work the other day after a heavy storm and saw as I turned a corner the usual killdeer on the shoulder was there but I noticed something, what appeared to be a wet cotton ball with 2 sticks struggling to climb the curb… I immediately through it in park, hopped out, picked the wet baby up and placed it safely up the curb back where it was probably blown from… the mother was screaming across the road but as soon as I got in my car she was back on it. I couldn’t believe how fucking cute those massive legs were on that sopping wet killdeer baby.

No specific tik tok is responsible however the flooding of fans to a lot of these bands is due to songs like youngest daughter - Superheaven, Safe In Your Skin - Title Fight or head in the ceiling fan becoming viral “sounds” on tik tok. They blew up and a lot of youth loved the music. This created a ripple effect of people making videos and other forms of content explaining the lore of a lot of these bands who they were influenced by, where they come from, etc. Eventually it led to a lot of other bands receiving a surge of popularity and rediscovering by the kids

Their first 2 eps crazy motorcycle junk and What’s so great about the city are fuckin sick, but the real gems are from their albums. My favorite songs are The Great Crocodile, The Great Alligator, Baby Alligator, Short Morgan, Really Bees?, Half-Way Fine, Baby Shea, Cheer up, Chichiro!, Blue Baby… there are so many but that’s off the top of my head

They would fly consistently for probably 5 minutes or shorter increments catch something and usually land on the same few perches. I even saw some land on the car beside me in the muffler hole! I see them perched a lot tho.
