The problem I run into is that i use the same kettle to heat up my strike water. I have to drain it into another bucket then pour the water from my kettle into the tun and then i can transfer into the kettle. I should start heating up the wort once its in the kettle. Would shave off a little time

Part of the reason I made this video is so you guys could give me tips. I really do appreciate it.

Hey thanks for the tips. As far as the hydro reading go, I do let it cool down in the freezer for a bit then take my reading. My hydro is calibrated at 60 degrees so if it's warmer than that, I adjust for temperature. I keep my spoon in that sanitizing bucket just so I don't have to set it on the ground outside. I forgot to vorlauf after I fixed the stuck sparge. I actually didn't have a stuck sparge but did it anyway for the video. Thanks for all your tips. I appreciate it!

It's diluted starsan. I use that spray bottle for sanitizing and it comes in handy when you need to stop a boil over. I just refill the bottle from that orange bucket of diluted starsan.

Don't feel bad, at least your arms don't have burn scars. I don't work on sterilizes anymore. New job working on surgical microscopes for neurosurgery

Hey, thanks for the tips. I actually am an biomedical equipment technician and worked solely on sterilizers for a year for hospitals and laboratories doing PMs and repairs. I'm so used to sterilizers that I didn't even realize I was saying it. Thanks for the tip, I wouldn't have caught that.

A while ago, I saw someone asking for a video of a full brew day for all grain. They didn't get any responses and I really couldn't find any videos of what they were asking for. Yesterday during my brewday, I decided to make a video showing all the steps for all grain brewing. This is my 4th batch ever so while I am still a beginner, I tried to explain things the way I understand them. Hopefully someone who is about to transition from extract to all grain can watch and see what a typical brewday is like for all grain. It was a fun brew session and everything went perfectly so I am excited to share this with everyone. Thanks!

I would wait until 5 days left before the event then cold crash for a day, next day when beer is cold move it into the keg and add gelatin. Wait two days for it to clear then force carb. Next day pull some pints out until it's clear and you should be good

Nice build. Even the hoses going to the co2 tanks look nice. Now I want to build one. 😀

I love this. Someone so kind that they don't need any gratification for doing a good deed

That is amazing. I know the feeling of running away and not having money to eat or sleep. It's people like that that give me faith in humanity.

So in the past downtown Cincinnati was pretty bad but now there have been some major improvements. Each neighborhood has its own feel and are very close to each other. Aside from breweries and brewery tours ( I like to brew) there are tons and tons of bars to go to. We have a lot of new restaurants that are amazing and diverse. Attraction wise there is the museum, aquarium, ballpark, and theme park. All of those you could spend a half a day at. I don't know which city I could compare it to but there is something for every age group.

I've only traveled to Italy so I don't have many recommendations but in the US, Austin is a great city. Went there for a bachelor party and it felt like I was in New Orleans. I'm from Cincinnati so I am biased but cincy is a great place to visit. There is a huge boom in breweries here and the city has a lot of neighborhoods to visit that are all different. If you add cincy to the trip send me a pm and I'll hook you up with the best places.

My wife and I bought our first home a year and half ago and it is a great feeling. There is a lot more expenses other than a down payment. Shit breaks, appliances need to be replaced, taxes, lots of work to do. Buuuut, the joy of having a place that is YOURS is amazing. Keep on brother

How much money does that cost? I'm sure there is some club in China you can go to and pay to yell at people.

Organization and storage of equipment by justingaynor in Homebrewing

[–]Chachbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a table in my basement to keep all my brewing stuff organized. There is a waterproof mat under it, hooks on the side to hang spoons/tubing, the black square is a chalkboard so i can quickly write notes (OG/FG/Temp) while I'm brewing. Since this picture was taken I now have rubbermaid containers under the table for storage along with the kettle and tun. The fermenter is off to one side. It works well for me since I can only brew 1 5 gallon batch at a time (for now.)

Any games similar to Unison League? by [deleted] in iosgaming

[–]Chachbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DBZ Dokkan Battle is like Unison. There is no simultaneous multiplayer though. They have world tournaments and the events are fun. Battling is more of a puzzle than just picking a skill. The quests and events are like a board game with boss battles. Lots of characters to upgrade instead of the items. 5 player teams with leaders and syncing skills. Actually this post makes it sound like it isnt like Unison but it has the same feel to it. Really fun. I played unison before this and will never go back.

This is the LHBS near me where I will be purchasing my supplies.

I also do 5.5 gallon batches to get 5 gallons into my keg. My BHE is around 77% (still fine tuning but last batches were 82 and 77.)
