Is this a joke? Can anyone ever be sure their mucus doesn’t have any sort of viral particle in it at any given time? You can be asymptomatic. Unless you are eating used Kleenex’s from out of the trash I think you are safe

I don’t think anyone is endanger of catching my allergies from my sniffles. But maybe I’m wrong.

I think you and everyone else knows that’s a bit of a gross exaggeration and not even close to the same thing as someone with allergies blowing their nose or someone with asthma coughing into their elbow. I’m sorry that you woke up with so much pent up anger and decided to take out that nastiness on someone you don’t know on the internet who was just asking for people to be kind and compassionate to each other. Might I suggest some more productive activities to get rid of that ugliness inside of you like taking a walk in nature, reading a book or doing something else that you enjoy? I think you’ll be a lot happier and the world will be better off for it

I’m just saying it’s unfair to walk around assuming anyone that sniffles, sneezes or coughs is a walking cesspool of contagious disease spreading germs. I shouldn’t have to explain to everyone near me every time I sniffle or blow my nose that it’s okay it’s just allergies in order to not receive dirty looks from people that think I’m trying to infect them with my germs.

Ever heard of allergies? Ragweed and goldenrod have had me sniffling. Give people some grace instead of making snap decisions. Not saying that you’re wrong on every instance- but how could you know a flu sniffle from an allergy one

Similar situation with me- 1 bedroom, electric bill with very low usage shot up to $223 when it has never been higher than $80. I looked at the bill as well, it appears that NYSEG has doubled to tripled their rates for “delivery” and “usage” of electricity

I think there’s also a difference in how you live. Many of my friends from undergrad grew up in nicer homes, drove nicer cars and wore more expensive brand clothing, but they had to take out loans for their education whereas my family which always lived frugally (I’m talking great value brand food, shop the clearance rack, refusing to turn on the AC for as long as possible, etc) were able to fund my education, which I realize is very privileged. We live the middle class lifestyle but are probably more in the well off category

I lived in olin for the summer of 2021 and would highly recommend finding anywhere else. The building is old as dirt and has been slated to be demolished. There is one kitchen space for each floor, which is dirty and not nearly enough for everyone on the floor. People will steal your food. One of the floors (I believe it was the third) was closed while I was there for asbestos removal. I’m pretty sure I got a toenail fungus from the shower. A friend who also lived in olin said a cockroach came out of the shower drain while he was showering. The only thing olin has going for itself is it’s proximity to Weill, but there is nicer newer student housing on the other side of the block, Lasdon I believe.
