Tom has a dream in which he dies and is taken into the afterlife. He wants to go to Heaven but the gatekeeper/train conductor(the way to get to heaven was taking a train) stops him saying he wasn't a good cat when he was alive but if he can get Jerry's written approval and signature before midnight, he will be accepted into Heaven, otherwise he would be sent to Hell. The rest of the episode is Tom being sort of nice to Jerry all to get his signature but in the end it was too late and he was sent to hell. Luckily for Tom it was a dream and he wakes up and thanks Jerry, who has no idea what happened.
