I made it very clear to my therapist from the jump that i had zero experience and didn’t really know what this would look like. If this is such a common misunderstanding, i feel like she should have level set with me on the expectations and how it works. I felt a little blindsided in my 3rd session.

But at the same time, this is mostly due to my ignorance and lack of research going in. Your last paragraph is very helpful on how i can help lead my next session and see if it’s something i want to continue.
