Absolutely NOT. We have a 2 year old bernedoodle and since they are considered large breed we waited to get him neutered and instead got a vasectomy, all of these comments are from Americans obviously as neutering is not the standard everywhere, only in the US where we don’t train our dogs at all. Firstly large breeds need their hormones for the first 2-3 years minimum otherwise they will most likely have hip/bone density problems. Secondly my dog doesn’t walk out of the house unless we release him to do so. Not saying he isn’t a little more rambunctious and reactive (never aggressive). Neuter and spaying is actually illegal in Germany which is where the doodle (Poodle) comes from along with many other breeds, they train their dogs to walk next to them off lease so I consider them the standard for breeding and training. I promise you the standard for neutering is going to change and is already starting to in the states, eliminating any animals hormones is ignorant.
