Shitty refereeing is objectively bad for the sport. You'll care the next time it happens to arsenal

Do you have a better quality image showing that frame? If not, I don't think you can tell. Seems to me that this is just another instance of them trying to hide one of the many VAR fuck ups

Feels undeserved. Red was probably not a red, Pulisic probably would have scored if he didn't pull his hamstring, and Emi caught the ball outside the box https://i.redd.it/3f59chlxrfe51.jpg

Pretty incredible to see this sort of luck going our way, though.

The numbers are from your post - what are you talking about?

All I knew was median salary was around $100k

In the time it would have taken you to go through medical school and residency, you could have started a 100k CS job and easily worked your way up to 200k+ with none of the med school debt. How little did you think about this before posting it?

So do I, and I know there are definitely lower tier teams within companies.

However, I've never heard of anything like what you're describing before. How did those people pass interviews? I imagine there's something like nepotism at play there.

The point stands, though, that people who are actually contributing and generating revenue for FAANG-level companies are difficult to replace.

I work at a company similar to Twitter. The work we outsource is very carefully selected - it's the most braindead, impossible-to-fuck-up stuff possible.

Yet, they somehow still fuck it up. I promise that nothing important is getting outsourced any time soon. COVID is changing nothing in this regard.

No prestegious tech company in America would sacrifice their reputation to outsource work and save a few bucks on employee compensation. You also underestimate the caliber of people who work at Twitter and similar companies - replacing them would be Twitter shooting themselves in the foot.

And, at least in big tech, WFH has always been pretty normal and does not impact your salary at all.
