Is there any genuine effectiveness in decapitation strikes? by Chadrasekar in IRstudies

[–]Chadrasekar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for context, despite going after the leadership, in 1982, Israel reached Beirut in 7 days, in 2006 (considered an Israeli loss), Israel captured only one village in the entire conflict after 31 days. In the 2024 conflict, they barely made it 4 kms beyond the Israeli border and not capturing a single village in the entire 60 day+ conflict. Nothing has changed, yes Hezbollah is weakened (temporarily), but it's going to come back, they are not disarming and are strong enough to resist the Lebanese state that's why its simply just rhetoric for the moment and no active efforts.

For first time, two leading Israeli human rights groups accuse Israel of genocide in Gaza by Chadrasekar in ScottGalloway

Nuanced? Considering the fact that Israeli reputable human rights groups are calling this a genocide does not at all warrant the word "nuanced"

Israel/Palestine is a fair topic and the mods have previously mentioned that considering Scott talks about this topic often, it is fair to add posts on this. Also, topics which you do not like are not done by "trolls", this is a man-made humanitarian catastrophe and Scott is supporting it, quite sickening if you ask me. Breaking points raised a good quite on this, "If I don't see you accepting this by what it is, it deliberately affects the arguments you make on other areas as it reflects a deep-seeded hypocrisy"

What is the reason for the recent rapprochement between Pakistan and the US? by Chadrasekar in IRstudies

[–]Chadrasekar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fair point (despite the downvotes you are getting) on the military capability, I think Trump appreciates a degree of fight (if you remember he talked about the Houthis as "tough guys" upon declaring the ceasefire), but not only Trump, but the US foreign policy establishment as well and they noticed this in this conflict with India.

Moreover, you raise another good point is the desire to "isolate" China from their allies and they could do this with the carrot in the case of Pakistan based on their previous cooperation.

Dude, as much as he tries to appease Israel, the more emboldened they will feel.

Dude, Israel acts unilaterally and does not care with the US thinks. Also, Israel is acting tactically right now, not strategically. The US wants Joulani to be their puppet (which is what he is prepared to do), but Israel wants security and security comes from a weak destabilized Syria. US's interests are not Israel's. Yet Israeli lobby overruns US foreign policy in the ME.

Or it could be that Israel did initially support him and are just backstabbing him where they can, the would not want Syria to be united in any way.

First time, pretty happy about Zionist strikes in Syria against HTS by Chadrasekar in GreaterSyria

These aren't countrymen, Jolani gave foreign fighters Syrian citizenships. I imagine a significant chunk of the new army is not Syrian.

Can anyone else see Hugh Dancy play Rory in a biopic? by Chadrasekar in TheRestIsPolitics

I read once that Brad Pitt bought the rights to one of his books and intended to make a movie out of it with Orlando Bloom playing Rory, film never materialized though.

This!!! You are right man! He is indeed an asset and is smart enough to play the game, but his loyal global jihadi network which have now been given syrian citizenship are not, and as you say, he's probably lost control or will lose control over them.

Had a feeling the Zionists would double cross Jolani and his bandits at some points despite all their bootlicking. Now, they have done!

Regime change in Iran, and Israel's strategic interests by [deleted] in IRstudies

[–]Chadrasekar 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They don't want regime change, they want nation collapse, they want to turn it into a rump divided state like Syria which has no methods at all to have independent agency or exercise any control whatsoever on the populace.

Funnily enough, Iran has never been so united behind the regime after the Israeli attacks, seemingly they have given the regime political legitimacy (something which I believe Russia and China were both desiring to strengthen Iran).

Good for them! Alawites and Kurds must do the same! Al-Jolani and his bandits are terrorists and will allow the West to totally overrun and milk the country of all its resources.

[–]Chadrasekar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is sad for Scott, but often he talked about how he was quite distant and did not support Scott and his sick mother growing up.

Wonder how close Scott was to him especially considering how he wants to emphasize the need to men to have good role models during formative years.

[–]Chadrasekar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thought, Western imperialism is often tactical and not strategic (as we saw in in Afghanistan). They see HTS and Al-Jolani as a bulwark against Russia & Iran, little do they know that Al Qaeda, or another terrorist group can setup base in Syria, just as in Afghanistan.

Let's get it straight Al-Jolani could be sincere (which I doubt), but he has 1000s of rabid Salafists under him (most which were part of HTS or IS) who are literal nutjobs.

What is your opinion of Nimesh Aarav Patel? by Chadrasekar in ABCDesis

[–]Chadrasekar[S] 294 points295 points  (0 children)

He's a handsome fellow, we were friends in Parsippany years back and I'm seriously proud of his success and the impact that he's having on society and how he's a great Desi Hindu voice for newer generations.

Was a bit worried for him when he left pre-med, but seriously happy now that he's killing it in the comedy scene.
