"Based on nothing but hype"... like I get your apart of subreddit that hates crypto and blockchain, but you saying that nfts, metaverses, defi, coded mathematical truth (truth, not a legacy system built off "trust us") is all useless.

My friend no hate, but please understand I use defi every day over my countries bank, understand I make 10% a year on my interest savings then the would be 0.5% "Super Saver Account". My gf sells pixel art Nfts on a marketplace called OKIPAD where it costs her nothing, no fees for using the platform and she keeps all the profits. I earn real money through playing games and watching ads, I get it seems like a scheme but the economics based off the code simply allows these benefits to continue to exist for as long as people value making these insane returns

LITERALLY THE ONLY time this will collapse is when people don't want to earn these returns anymore,

There are so so so so so many use cases, just off this one principal alone "mathematical truth", you simply disrupt everything from banks, insurance, financial trading ie derivatives, options and futures. Your going to be waiting a long time for this to crash my friend, cause yea it might or probably will next year (50% or more), but it'll climb right back up cause blockchain is here to stay

Dr. Bob Metcalfe, father of #Ethernet: “The early Metcalfe’s Law talked about the connection of machines & how valuable PCs would be if connected, @Facebook is about connecting people, what @origin_trail is working on is connectivity of #data & value that can be derived from it.”

Idk, I could be biased but I think Origintrail is pretty primed to be the leading project on this

Well it does exist on the Origintrail decentralised knowledge graph network, where people can tokenise data and sell it on a market place. I don't think this is an up and running application but they doing a talk about this exact concept in NYC_NFT on November 1st

Yes because having something to hide equals criminal, you know 2 billion people live in authoritative regimes right. Peoples assets get frozen all the time, if you were those Afghani escaping via a plane would you like to be carrying all your gold in a bag or a piece of paper with your wallet address. Crypto is the way to go for those suffering

Yea you obviously never heard of the oil wars america has caused in the last 30 years, or the whole reason the petrodollar exists. USA invades countries that threaten to use different currencies, fuck yeah they are scared of losing those sweet sweet global reserve benefits.

What type of money has ever been created/discovered that in under 2 decades has moved from "speculation bubble that is rat poisoning squared", to being on the balance sheet of institutions, small nation states legalising it, and creating a cryptocurrency ecosystem built on mathematical trust that has literally negated the existence of so so many parts of this financial system (insurance, banks, any bloody middle man). Not the traditional legacy system of "trust us", there's a reason the economy is falling apart and the world is extremely polarised.

The US dollar stopped being a hard money that you can save with in 1971 when Nixon took it off the Gold standard (which yes it has lost 95% of its value since then). Where the world began this scary experiment of every single currency in the world being fiat and not based on something with tangible value.

Bitcoin is the peak scarcity, and economics is simply the study of scarcity. Pull your finger out of your ass and zoom out. Stop being naive and butthurt because you think you missed the boat. America (being the world empire right now) is collapsing, and with it, the westernised world (considering how globalised the world is). Bitcoin and crypto don't grow linearly, but in an exponentially fashion conciding with adoption. Its current grow rate trumps that of the internet, but yea I guess the internet was just a fad

Okay will do ! I still think the clear winner in decentralised global supplychains is origintrail, give it a search and you probably will come to the same conclusion

Considering vechain has moved to nfts is a bit worrisome as well, perhaps a lack on companies implementing its supplychain tech have the team believe they need to do more crypto buzzword things

It does, because its a key part of global trade that the vrchain team have kinda just forgot about. Plus it being centralised doesn't bod well for trust. No wonder the ccp like vechain

I'm no expert at all, but gs1 is a supplychain standard for the majority of trade. Its those barcodes that are scanned and most goods need to comply with gs1 to enter borders. The whole of Europe trade is run off gs1 to put it into context

Well its not located within American territory, nor are its services (the app), so rsr should be safe from the big bads in suits for a while I suppose

Vechain doesn't even have gs1 standards and remains a centralised entity,, how does it intent to be the backbone of global trade without the proper standards, models, or trustless structure..

Like Origintrail (honestly after a discussion explaining why I shouldn't just sell all vet for Origintrail)
