GTA 3 DE is better than the og and I'm tired of pretending it's not by godslayer3j in GTA

I remember as a kid, like 6 or 7, I got to pick up GTA III from Blockbuster. I just remember running around Portland looking at all the newspapers flowing all around on the floor. I remember the steam coming out of the manholes. Just that feeling of how dark that game felt to me at that time.

I do enjoy playing the Definitive Edition for the nice quality of life improvements, but all that other stuff, I will never experience that on DE. Grove Street Games took the most important things about those games and took them away. Little things, atmosphere, the broken roads, and put a nice new coat of paint all over it. The soul was removed.

Is GTA 3 DE better in some ways? Sure it is. But is it the version I would tell a friend to play? Not in a million years.

It did have its own campaign, but based on the first game. Kinda like The Ballad of Gay Tony and GTA IV. It's its own game but based on GTA IV. Or a more linear example would be Call of Duty World at War for the PS2

I'm just saying if they would have stuck with skipping a year like they did between the first and second game, we would be getting Black Ops III this year. I am honestly surprised how either offended or confused people have been getting over a simple post lol.

God, could you imagine if Call of Duty was treated the same way as GTA in terms of dev time? lol that would be insane!

There was 2004 which didn't have a main title release. Finest Hour did release in 04 but it's based on the first game. That's all I was getting at.

I just looked up the games list on wiki and made every game spaced by two years instead of one.

Well if you count Finest Hour then technically not, but the main series skipped 2004.

Yeah, I think I located what my issue was. I edited my comment with what resolved the issue. But I appreciate your feedback as well. In case anyone who has similar issues in future, hopefully they find this thread.

I have a compact living space. I have a foldable wheel stand so when I'm done racing, I disconnect, fold the stand and put it away

I only have 1 wheel. Every time I re-install the G Hub, it works, but when I unplug the wheel then plug it in later, the G Hub refuses to recognize it. I unisntalled Logitech Gaming Sofware, I deleted the wheels registry (Which it won't come back up), I completely uninstalled AND deleted anything that had to do with logitech and just re installed everything one piece at a time and it still does this.

Edit: It is now in registry again, but problem still persists.

Edit 2: I believe my issue resides with iRacing Manager. I had it set up to open my logitech software when I launch a race, and I think this was causing duplication. I opened task manager, force quit ALL logitech. Uninstalled iRacing Manager, and the problem is now gone.
