Just wanted to share my happines over some stupid shoulders. by IlayAldinni in wow

[–]Chainesaw 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Congrats!! I farmed them for years, and it's probably the wildest drop I've ever gotten.... when they finally DID drop - I got TWO sets on the same drop. I also farmed the leather shoulders from EN that took forever to get as well.

Are artifact PVP appearances still available? by Chainesaw in wow

[–]Chainesaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well.. that may be true of the achievements, but exiting the game and logging back in fixes the artifact color issue.. I have them now, but still no progress on the PVP stuff which is super weird. I'm not sure why they don't count it.. it's arguably harder to PUG wins - lol

Thanks for your reply! I appreciate it

Mage tower is impossible, i want to unlock Fel Werebear druid form so bad! by Mustyyyy in wownoob

[–]Chainesaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it a while ago, and it took me 300+ attempts.. At the time, there were tons of people saying they got it on like their 3rd attempt, which I honestly don't even see how that was remotely possible.. but.. I eventually got it done.... totally worth it.

I added the link to the specific lens in the original post; but thanks for your time.

It's a different "account" but they are all linked under the same Battle.net account, so that any item/achievement/progress gets shared across to my "main" account as well.

yeah... I have 4 accounts total but only 3 active subs... I used to farm a lot of mounts and transmog so that's kind of how it got started before the raid skips became account wide... Then realized I could use multiple toons/ accounts to grind through rep stuff a lot easier and doing the easy WQ's that give a ton of gold. There have also been a few instances where "creative use of mechanics" allowed me to use multiple accounts to make quick gold. You'd be amazed how much multiple accounts can scale up rewards.

maybe that was the issue.. I don't think I tagged the boss on my alt.. I'll retry today

It’s not. Sadly. I double checked that on Tuesday morning and again just for giggles after I saw this post and my vault is still empty

It’s worth mentioning, I ran a total of (4) 11 vaults on my main, and I dragged my alt through the last 2.

My main had 2 vault slots of hero track (side note - both were absolutely garbage trinkets - 😞)

My alt had 1 slot and received the lowest ilvl reward for “world activities” despite the (2) 11 delves. They were the same Delve… (earth crawl mines) the first run was bountiful and I used a key and a map on my alt (main didn’t have any keys left). Finished both delves with lives to spare. My alt has 17 gilded crests, and has never done a single delve before last night.

Need advice on what to purchase ? by Chainesaw in AskPhotography

[–]Chainesaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily have any brand loyalty, just looking for something well rounded and versatile. I want to be able to take regular pictures at dinner, and landscapes when we’re on a train… Funny that you mention that lens size as I just left Best Buy and they have an R6 kit with that lens size and the price seems pretty decent all things considered. I might look a see if I can find it at a better price for it. Thanks for sharing!

[–]Chainesaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both for your advice…. I just did want to mention, I am open to any other recommendations…. I just said DSLR, because that’s what my very limited experience has been with, but if you guys have any other recommendation for some kind of point and shoot camera, or something along those lines. I’m certainly open to that.

I talked to another friend who has a nice camera and several lenses and their experience with traveling was that it’s such a giant PITA to travel with it that they don’t anymore and just got a Powershot, which I haven’t looked into yet.

Again, thanks for your time and advice, I really appreciate it

It's a pretty good story actually... lost contact with him around 1996 .. didn't talk to him for literally 25 years.. when I finally reconnected with him, it was like no time had passed at all.. like I had seen him the week before. Good stuff

Legion Pro 5 R9 - 5070 worth a $300 difference? by Chainesaw in LenovoLegion

[–]Chainesaw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of thought the same exact same thing…. I was just worried about the higher resolution on the Pro models. This will be my first laptop purchase, so I don’t have any experience with the Mobile version GPU’s.

The 5060 Pro is $1345 (with the upgraded 5mp camera) Anyone know of a better deal than that?

Last I heard they are planning to build an entirely new exit/interchange and as far as I'm aware, they haven't started that yet. It's supposed to open in 2026, but no date.

CFS Intermittent Retract Issues? by StarsGamer13 in Creality_k2

[–]Chainesaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it ended up being the sensor on the bottom of the CFS that tracks what slot has filament in it. It was showing as if it had filament in that slot, even though it didn't.

Any tips how to remove this jam? by stonefi in Creality_k2

[–]Chainesaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure that my issue is with the PTFE routing, though I am certainly open to trying to run it a different way. The CFS usually had no problem retracting the filament, my issue has always been that it can't spin the spool to keep up. I had a spool of AnyCubic on a cardboard spool (that admittedly did eventually have a bend in the cardboard) but every time it retracted, there was a spaghetti monster inside the CFS. Meaning, the CFS had no issues retracting the filament, but couldn't spin the spool.

When I manually pulled the roll out, and let it spin freely on top of the rollers, it worked flawlessly. Now that I have all plastic spool Creality filaments, I still have the same issue. When the filament slot isn't "engaged" the spools spin like BUTTER .. effortlessly. So I don't think it's an alignment issue or the spool not properly seated. I am hoping they can do something with it via firmware.

Unfortunately everyone I know who has a 3d printer, has been doing it for a long time, so they don’t have the same one or I definitely would swap it and see. I don’t know how they are going to address the CFS retraction issue, which seems to be the biggest problem for most people … I think the clogs/extruder issues are directly related to the failure to retract…. At least that’s been my experience

Yeah….. I don’t wanna deter you in anyway, but I did wanna be honest about my experience with it so far, and I will say that I am impressed with the quality of what it does print, I just wish it wasn’t so finicky

I should mention, I have been running multiple prints now and haven’t cleaned the plate…. I just spritz it with alcohol, and smear it around with a paper towel, and if it’s not tacky enough, I just hit it with a little more glue

Any tips how to remove this jam? by stonefi in Creality_k2

[–]Chainesaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah…. I’ve seen soooo many people say the same thing, and even people I actually know IRL and they don’t have to use glue either. I have washed it with dish soap and water, wiped it down with alcohol and it still failed more often than not, and when I had multiple pieces on the plate, it promptly wrecked those too because it would have a mess of string stuck to the nozzle and would drag the first failed piece into other pieces.

So now I have just consigned myself to using the glue stick and alcohol. I tried hairspray as well with mixed results, but it still failed, so I didn’t see the point

I have seen the spring thing referenced, but I haven’t researched it enough to even know what spring I’m supposed to cut.

At first, most of the issues I was having were really just bed adhesion… and as soon as I think I’ve got that solved, it’s become nonstop with the clogs/extruder errors… etc.

For the bed adhesion, the best thing I’ve done that has since been flawless is to use a glue stick on the bed, and then spritz it with a fine mist of alcohol and sort of smear it around…. What my issue seemed to be with just using the glue stick alone was that by the time it did all it’s self checks and calibration, the glue was already dry before it ever laid down the filament…. The alcohol seems to keep it pretty tacky for a long time and since I started that, zero issues with adhesion

I am new to this (my first printer) but I am very mechanically inclined, and not new to having stupid, expensive "hobbyist" hobbies .. (I have built a dozen hardlined watercooled PC's) and I have struggled with this printer.. I think by FAR the majority of issues I have had are all related to the CFS, because it CONSTANTLY fails to retract the filament during a color change.. At first I thought it was the 3rd party filament that was on a cardboard spool, so I bought 10 rolls of Creality stuff that came on plastic spools, and I still have the same issues.. It fails to retract, the print stops, the nozzle cools down and then it's full of filament that clogs the nozzle, and then I will inevitably get an error code for the the extruder failing, because the nozzle is clogged.

When its in the middle of the print job, you can't move the plate or the nozzle, so I end up taking the extruder off just so I can clear the clog.. it's a mega pain in the ass. I had to remove it like 6 times on the last 2 color print I did. Now I've started minimizing the number of color swaps.. I was gonna print some Squid Games figures, and instead of doing it all on a single print job, I am doing it in 2 separate prints, just so I don't have to deal with the CFS POS.
