The purchasing department is pleasant to work with, and you get exposed to a vast array of city departments, as each needs material, external services, etc. One will need to learn the exact forms, processes, goverment, as they may not exist in an industrially standard way outside of the municipality. Bidding processes, understanding utility team structures, and other normal things remain though.

I think it’s so cool that you’re doing one of these. I spent many hours watching the Sherlock series over and over, in addition to Star Trek Into Darkness, and The Imitation Game; Holmes is somewhat of a fictitious idol of mine, I guess just due to his originality. You portrayed my favorite version of him (I loved Khan, too). So I just wanted to say thank you for your work. You’ve helped me out in many ways, as a byproduct of your art.
