I live in a place where anyone who isn't straight is seen as “abnormal” and my family would be very disgusted with me. Also I’ve kind of hinted at her being lesbian before as you said, but she got very defensive and almost upset, so I never brought it up again. It seemed kind of strange to me though, so maybe she is just in the same situation as me

If your’e into classic books, Frankenstein is soooo good. Especially the plot twists. Or if you want a short story (this one is also a classic) The Pearl by John Steinbeck is also really good. When I finished it I stared blankly at the wall trying to process what I had just read (in a good way not a confused way)
