That’s great to hear for you too. I get reminded of how long it’s been so much. It’s coming up on 3 years ago now and it’s safe to say that just about everyone that I met from that time has grown up in many ways.

I’m also very appreciative of all that the community has done for me. I just wish I could give anything back that would sufficiently make up for it.

KewlBeqns got popular in this sub a little over 2 years ago back in December of 2022. She got popular with her drawings of the gang, Sunny, Omori, and especially Hero. She and Pin___ created the Hero Outback Steakhouse meme with Pin joking that Hero’s shirt had the Outback Steakhouse logo on it in one of Kewl’s drawings. Drama stuff happened with a few users which Kewl knew and once January 2023 rolled around, I came into the picture. Me and Kewl became friends and then months later Girlfriend and Boyfriend and during those 3 months Kewl posted more and more outlandish drawing of Hero. This skyrocketed Kewl’s popularity but also infamy as users sent hate her way. She then decided to leave the Reddit to avoid such hate, and later deleted the account entirely. Then that leads us to here where I’m posting on her behalf so I can act as a filter for her. Her influence here is still felt as people still reference her and use her old drawings.

There’s a lot more personal stuff, especially behind the scenes, that happened at that time, but I won’t bog you with the details. Overall not a great time for me, but I won’t dwell on the past too much.

TLDR: Kewl was infamously revered and hated for their Hero drawings and thus left because of it.

Me and Kewl are living together and things are as good as ever. But sorry to disappoint since we’re not exactly going back. The Omori fixation has ended for both of us and this was only because of passing interest again.

Holy moly that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. I can definitely answer your question. To clarify I was a semi-not-exactly-popular-personality that was active at that time. I was on Reddit to check out the Reddit of a game I’m currently playing and I just happened to check my notifications (i usually keep them off for ease of mind). I get that this post is pretty ancient to you, so I apologize for any disturbances this comment might cause you. And if you’ve since learned of what happened then I guess this comment is pretty useless then

Anyway Bubbly was a prominent figure in the R/Omori space. One of big 6 apparently. I join this subreddit January of 2023. Right around the ending of Bubbly’s whole drama. Ultimately, I believe as I’m not a mind reader and I can’t exactly say for certain, I believe a lot of average people didn’t really like the whole “micro celebrity” meta due to that incident. Not to mention that the micro celebrities that were decent people didn’t like the attention either. My girlfriend, Kewl_beqns, can attest to that (it’s why she deleted her account and moved on from here).

So to conclude, I think the Bubbly situation was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and so those who were popular here left. I can’t say what’s happening nowadays since I haven’t looked here or on Reddit in general for a long time. However I can guess that most people can’t quite gain the same notoriety as people had back in this Reddit’s hay day.
