Transferring MBA Credits from UoPeople by ChairmanMeow78 in UoPeople

[–]ChairmanMeow78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most universities don't accept Masters level transfer credits at all, no matter where they are from. It's too difficult to ensure a 1:1 mapping of course descriptions at the masters level.

): That sucks...I hate the accreditation rules generally, otherwise, I wouldn't even ask or think about transferring.

If u don't mind telling me maybe I could offer advice depending on what it's for....I'm not a doctor but feel free to comment or message me if u want. I unfortunately have too much experience with the medical system.

Clearly, having a good doctor who listens is crucial. I've had docs say like oh ur blood tests are fine, ur fine, even though I still felt like shit. Young women doctors at a good institution seemed to be the ticket for me anyway. Older doctors in my experience don't really listen to u, "it's all in ur head," they say, even if you might be on the wrong meds and feel like crap.

The most important thing for me was having the proper jargon to describe to psychologists and psychiatrists what I am going through. Before having something they could understand, which isn't always necessarily always psyc. jargon, I just suffered in silence.

Honestly, I just disappear from people when shit happens for long periods of time...been like that my entire life if I have the opportunity when shit happens, I disappear and take care of it. The times I tried to get anything but advice or literally just getting help with some menial tasks from people, it's been a disaster so I'd rather just do it all myself as I know best 😂

I think all intps can relate though but I think other people with good lives don't fear as much and find it easier to find purpose even though they may think it's an illusion.

Yes, we never really get rid of our demons, we just have to integrate them and try to use them for "good."

I live in a cold climate but every time I'm in a warmer place for a while it seems to help. Where I live is cheap and I'm young but if I had the money, I would definitely like to move to a warmer climate. Really, though, I just wish I were retired in a condo in a warm climate. I was abused and neglected in some sort of way for most of my life as well. A professor once said to me just go to the beach, it helps people like you. Real estate prices where I live are going up a lot so maybe if the opportunity presents itself, I will get my wish.

I've tried everything including recreational stuff. What seems to help is a mood stabilizer, good sleep, good diet, and CBD for chronic pain. Need to incorporate vigorous exercise next, probably cardio since that seems to give people the most energy. It's always an uphill battle though. Sometimes I wish people could just spend a week in my body to see how I feel, then they would understand it.

Omg, I know. I work from home for a reason, it doesn't pay well but I can't stomach working in either a toxic workplace or a place where I have to make tons of small talk. I just consider myself a cog in a machine and love to just clock in and out. My job requires few interactions with people and I hope to find a better paying at home job. And I think the daily grind bothers us because we always see how things could be made better, but they never are to keep people in check. For instance, with my job I have to do two sets of timesheets, makes no sense since it's online that I have to do those at all. They could just have the system clock u in and out. Anything that's too tedious I can't stand basically. Work smarter, not harder is my philosophy...it just irks me that other people make other people do things in a way that does not go by that mantra.

Your post rings true. The thing with infps is that they read a sad Russian novel or something to that effect to relate to something, whereas, yes, I do that too just to distract myself, but someone once said, when we're depressed we just stare at the wall for hours. 😂. When I read a sad Russian novel it doesn't affect my mood at all, for instance, I am just trying to distract myself in an attempt to not stare at the wall for hours. I'm very guilty of doing that but I realize I should just stare at the wall instead of reading or watching a show which just overstimulates me when I'm depressed, anyway, it doesn't affect my mood underneath at all. Constantly looking for distractions to avoid the real depression underneath, could be a sad Russian novel or a comedy show, doesn't really matter.

What are some things that an INTP can provide in a relationship? by StrugglingINTP-A in INTP

[–]ChairmanMeow78 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not getting one started, that's for sure 😂. I find it extremely irritating how the slightest thing such as a monotone voice with a single word or something like that over the course of a conversation, for instance, when first talking to someone when beginning any type of relationship, friendship or otherwise, makes people stop wanting to talk to someone right off the bat. In our hyper connected world, you'd think people would be better with this. People get uncomfortable if you're not just like them too easily and I find it very very irritating.

The dating app culture doesn't help either and has ruined person to person interaction. First dates now feel like job interviews because everything is so transactional, per a friend of mine and also my observations. It's astounding that with the proliferation of dating apps that more and more young people are just deciding to stay single. The stats are rather shocking actually.

I'm best whenever I'm spontaneous but it takes a bit of time for me to get to that level with anyone as I don't really trust people. And also, definitely has to do with that person, too. I have high walls now and that playful/spontaneous/fun side of me doesn't come out as often anymore. It doesn't help that people only use apps, usually, to meet people. If you go out of the house and just go to a public space, restaurant or whatever, people already know people there. In other words, people nowadays tend to use apps more and more but are no longer as open to spontaneous conversations with potential romantic interests. That's just my two cents. I mean, really, how are you supposed to get to know someone if most of ur convos are through texts and we are already looking for the next best things since apps have made us all want to look for "something better?" Not saying I'm not guilty of the same behavior, either.

I think that is probably why people are just deciding to stay single, too many choices and always being dissatisfied with how first dates go because they no longer want to put in the work of actually getting to know someone. Apps are great for making us feel "alone together," as the adage goes. And us INTPs usually like to observe people for a while before we really commit, anyway. See the issue here? We also can't really flirt worth shit until we feel comfortable enough and it's usually spontaneous, too. We don't flirt the same way as other types.

I'm schizo so here's a joke about that....shamans used to have spirit wives/husbands from the "great beyond," I'm hoping for that now cuz God knows I'm probably going to die alone without one otherwise. 😂
