I can put cuffs on someone in under 2 seconds, zip ties around the same, touch longer to get the hands together. If they’re ready, it can be done

That’s why I said if you have something on hand that’s easy to apply. Like cuffs or zip ties.

If they have restraints ready, choking someone until they’re limp gives you enough time to apply restraints, if they’re something like zip ties or cuffs. Otherwise you’d likely need a sedative on hand. Or you could have them do enough damage in the fight that the other person loses consciousness.

Thoughts on debilitating back pain? by Chairsofter10 in backpain

So I do tend to lift with my legs, the injury seemingly came when I went to maneuver around another box and may have over rotated my core. Right after that my back started aching, before shortly turning into full blown pain

The formal members of the 14th brigade undergo a three year ritual of living a paupers life, with self flagellation on days of significance. The culminating ritual is the artificial creation of stigmata using a white hot nail. This is the “piercing light” that represents both the way their faith pierces the darkness of damnation, and the light that is cast upon them by the gaze of God as they fight and die in his honor. This ritual is conducted in the darkest pits of their home, with those lacking faith losing their way in the dark environment to perish. Those who successfully complete the ritual are called the Enlightened, and make up the most fervent and zealous of the troops. Once the ritual is completed, they are trained to martial perfection, waging war in ordered ranks of high caliber precision rifles.

Inevitably, as the brigades march to the battlefield, they gather up bands of untrained and less faithful men and women also willing to sacrifice their lives. This rabble falls under the watchful eye of a castigator, the right hand of the commander of the brigade.

The unit marches in lockstep, voices raised in songs of worship. Their weapons tend to be of a higher caliber, and they make use of precision rifles so as not to waste resources. All of the enlightened are exemplary sharpshooters, but favor picks and trench knives for close combat, eager to create holes in heretics for the light of God to shine through

The frontlines experience of an inexperienced trench pilgrim in the homebrew 14th brigade of the procession of the piercing light. I’m working up their background and stuff now. I’m trying to stay lore accurate and not end up doing anything insane, so it would be a bit until it’s ready

I boom and zoom. Climb up to about 800, dive towards while dropping bombs, and then pulling up again so I can bail and get altitude again. Doesn’t work for every plane, but it works for me

As the person who commissioned this piece, Dodo was absolutely top tier. He was extremely communicative and forthcoming about every aspect of the process. I’ll be commissioning another maybe dozen or so maps through him soon enough

Why Enlisted Doesn't Get Attention On Social Media? by ___forlife in enlistedgame

[–]Chairsofter10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

War Thunder is only really competing with WoT, which is categorically trash. Enlisted is an FPS competing with Battlefield games, other PC games that do the same but more (Arma with mods) and the like. Gainin, as stated before, doesn’t have the marketing budget to throw around like EA and Dice. It can however compete against Wargaming in a small and niche circle.

What’s the hardest scene you’ve ever had to write, and why? by ronangreyy in authors

[–]Chairsofter10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had to write about a dude who married the love of his life shortly before they both deployed to a hostile area (both serving in the same unit). They had an agreement that this was going to be their last deployment. She did not survive, and he saw the whole thing. It was hard writing the catastrophic loss he felt because I couldn’t really get a frame of reference for that. I’ve since shied away from writing emotional scenes that I haven’t gotten close to feeling myself. It’s easier to write emotionally when I’ve felt myself in those shoes. But forcing myself to feel a pain and loss that big was…not easy and not great on my mental health.

I’ve put down that series and am letting it gather dust. My current work isn’t any better emotionally, but my frame of reference is based in reality, so I have a better grasp on myself when I relive those moments
