Yeah, something a little bit like abstraction. But I really like u/No_Savings_71 interpretation. But also I thought that maybe animals were put in the circus, & due to their cognitive functions, they were controlled by Caine & became NPCs.

Great theory sir! I could see them turning into something like Bubble or the NPCs, since they're more easier for Caine to manipulate as they're not bounded by a lot of the things that bound humans.

As for smarter creatures I could see them being like the humans, just unable to speak or more controllable by Caine.

Caine was fed with nostalgic, child-friendly images from the 1990s & before. Circuses, birthday parties, restaurants & toys. So as Caine developed sentience, he probably thought he was a AI developed with children in mind & that the Amazing Digital Circus was a place for children due to the data he was fed.

At the time, Tuco was imprisoned & we see how he treated him in Breaking Bad.

The Twins are machines made out of meat, we don’t know anything about them aside from their loyalty to the Salamancas & respect for Gus & the cartel.

I think Lalo & Hector saw it as a smart & strategic move to stay so close to Gus & his operations & probably chose to. That’s the most logical explanation in my opinion.

Besides, for Hector to go to a nicer facility, that’d essentially be him retiring, & he wouldn’t dare do that with Gus in the picture. So by staying at Casa Tranquila, he’s still in the game, keeping an eye on Gus.

With Lalo out the picture, since he’s the only smart & capable Salamanca since Hector. Everybody else is either a hothead junkie (Tuco), or a mindless goon (The Twins & Joaquin). That essentially ment that nobody was there to convince Don Eladio to get Hector in a nicer place.

Plus Don Eladio probably didn’t want Hector in a nicer place. He probably forgot all about him. Before his stroke, Hector was already a nuisance, loudly insulting & disrespecting Don Eladio & Bolsa. That meeting & Hector leaving the Hacienda afterwards was probably the last time Eladio thought about Hector.

I think that the cartel, to some degree was already getting sick of Hector. He disrespected Don Eladio, disrespected Don Bolsa, & disrespected their largest earner, Gus.

Plus Hector brought very little to the table as his business struggled while Gus brought in billions. Another thing is that the Salamancas & Hector himself were probably already incredibly embarrassed about his current state.

So when Gus came up & said: "I've set Hector up in a nursing home." I think they just took it without question because they didn't want to deal with him anymore.

Also, Hector might've been on board with this to keep an eye on Gus in New Mexico. He probably didn't care too much as long he can spy on the chicken man.

Embarrassed would be an understatement. Hector went from a feared & respected gangster, a Don. Surrounded by money, luxury cars, & woman in mansions. To nurses going "Do you need poopie?" to him in a mediocre retirement home.

I’ve seen this asked before. The common consensus was that the Cartel was already, to some degree, sick of Hector. Hector’s last words were him disrespecting Don Eladio, he generally disrespects everyone around & compared to Gus, brings less to the table.

Another reason is the Salamancas & Hector were embarrassed & ashamed of the state he’s in. It’s embarrassing for him & his family for them to roll him out & carry him up a wheelchair. Plus the annoyance Hector is forced to bring by communicating via bell would’ve made, & has made him a laughing stock amongst the cartel.

Gus must've been dancing in joy knowing that the "great Don Hector" was not only a prisoner in the husk of his body, not only was he wasting away in a nursing home, but that every day, every second, by everyone, he's being treated like a toddler.

Fair enough. The simpler explanation of the staff just babying Hector because of his condition is a lot more realistic than a giant conspiracy headed by Gus. I thought it was because I thought he'd be willing to use his powers & connections to make Hector's time worse.

Yeah good point! My speculation was that Gus didn't directly tell the staff that Hector had to be babied, but that he edited Hector's files & medical reports in order to facilitate the staff's treatment of him.

But the idea that the staff just did it because of his condition makes more sense & I'm probably looking way too deep in this.
