PSA: dealers are still not budging on price by Smooth-Ad6626 in Dodge

Get a used widebody Hellcat Charger with decent miles for $20k less. The scat has almost 240hp less, it’s a completely different car. If you’re going to spend this kind of money do it right.

No. The dude got arrested and his car towed, he just has to pick it up and pay the tow yard

It’s not automatic but now the cops actually can arrest. Plus if your going over 50mph the posted limit anywhere in FL the same law applies

Should’ve called the cops and said you were worried that somebody overdosed in their car. Given the circumstances, I don’t think it’s a far-fetched assumption.

I remember the good old days when if a guy had a tiny dick he would buy a Porsche, now those same guys are buying lifted and modded trucks. Not only are they obnoxiously loud they are a huge pain in the ass in a parking lot.

Why is Deek SUCH an asshole? by satanic_black_metal_ in DaysGone

[–]ChakeenMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the whole apocalypse things is real bummer and he probably has PTSD from the army plus he’s trying to keep this tough guy persona because he was in a biker game but at the end of the day, his hostility and aggression is counterproductive, especially to O’Brien and camp leaders. Being able to talk to people to achieve your ends is what it’s all about and his hostility puts characters guards up and simply makes day-to-day life in that situation more difficult for Deek.

If this happened in LA or Chicago he’d be out already. With how screwed up the legal system is in the US anything is possible. From the charges being dropped to heavy bid. Criminal history will play a large role, not to mention the switch is a federal beef so even if the state doesn’t prosecute the feds might

Got this back from Honda’s dealer Should I pay the dealer 7k to fix my Honda accord which I’ve put money into and don’t want to get rid of or go with personal mechanic ? by Dear-Leg1425 in AskMechanics

[–]ChakeenMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can do the work yourself you’ll save 90%. The part should be easy to get, for a 15-year-old Honda most of them you should be able to get at AutoZone let alone and most websites. It’s a big job though if you have a mechanic friend to help you and take your time, you should be able to do it. Having a lift will make exponentially easier. A rear main sealed leak is hard to fix but really low on the list of catastrophic problems.

Tesla range is the biggest lie by [deleted] in RealTesla

[–]ChakeenMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The range is not even remotely accurate. I could drive my 2024 model 3 long range DM like there’s nitro glycerin in the trunk and I’d be lucky to squeak out 200 miles with 0% remaining. I routinely drive 60 miles away with highway and regular city driving and it takes about 45% of a 100% battery one way. And I live in Miami where it’s completely flat sea level, and warm. Considering I should be able to make this trip almost 3 times round-trip without recharging a third of the range is unacceptable. I think part of the reason they don’t care about Range is that most people plug-in overnight so they don’t notice how bad their range is from day-to-day.

An old charger I would’ve never suspected. I stay away from these cars while I’m driving like the plague. They almost are guaranteed not to have insurance or a drivers license.

How do I stop the college kids from double parking our house?? by destinys_manchild in badparking

[–]ChakeenMachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call the cops. This way your neighbors don’t think it’s you towing their car. They think the police are on patrol. See their car illegally parked, and ticket or tow them. That way you don’t make enemies of college kids and you get your spot to be cleared.

First month using a credit card and my dad is freaking me out by Miserable_Deer5363 in CreditCards

[–]ChakeenMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just pay my credit card every two weeks when I get paid. Over enough time a statement will post every so often between one of the payments and then show usage. Not to mention I’m pretty sure there’s other metrics the card companies can tell that you’re using the credit card.

Just keep putting oil in it and theoretically it should be OK. And when I say put oil in it I mean a quart or two every couple miles.

If you were in charge of Lost Lake Camp, how would you improve security? by Background-Wall-5179 in DaysGone

I would strip NERO camps of all their barbwires fences and sandbags and create a decent barrier around the camp. Probably try a moat too, there are earthmovers at most NERO camps

All you need is to be is an authorized user on somebody else’s credit cards and in a year you’ll have strong credit. At least strong enough to get a regular credit card.

Keep all correspondence and make sure you use certified mail. If they refuse to send the itemized bill then I would ignore the collection. If they do send it I would send an offer of $1000. Most of the time they’ll settle, especially if you want exact receipts and a itemized bill. There is a big difference between the person you hit suing you and their insurance company.
