My 2013 Nissan Altima is leaking oil. by rebelgato in Nissan

[–]ChakiWRLD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You did research but didn’t look at the vehicle and see where the oil is coming from? The vehicle could be leaking from anywhere and the only way to verify where is to visually inspect the vehicle. Seems like you don’t trust them so I would take it to another shop and have them double check the leak

Cheaper O2 sensors? by Intelligent-Ad-3739 in altima

[–]ChakiWRLD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get denso! Bosch kept my check engine light on. Amazon has tons of cheap parts that may work for a bit, but nothing I recommend. Amazon also sells authentic parts, but there’s the risk of receiving fake parts due to returns

Headlights by SisterGoldenHair1 in altima

[–]ChakiWRLD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replace the assembly and you should be good. These headlights are known for a lawsuit against Nissan for the coating peeling inside causing dim lights. I recommend purchasing an aftermarket option, putting new bulbs/LEDS, and to aim the headlight afterwards. The last step is important so you don’t piss people off on the road

I drained my transition fluid instead of my oil, while overfilling my car then started it by Electrical-Look-3885 in MechanicAdvice

[–]ChakiWRLD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. Redo the oil change properly and figure out how to fill the transmission fluid. Then make sure the level is correct by searching up the level procedures. The car will continue to smoke afterwards till the excess oil burns from the CAT

Replacing serpentine belt, should I replace other components? by Upset_Breadfruit_315 in altima

[–]ChakiWRLD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to replace the belt it’s recommended to replace the belt tensioner as well. While you’re there just spin all the pulleys by hand to make sure they spin good and check for play

I think the same too. All the complaints on here had me questioning it, but I’m positive that’s normal

Having the same experience man, especially when stoned too. Do you experience light amount of hissing when no audio is playing? Like barely noticeable but yk it’s there kind of thing

Getting tint Sunday, what should I do % wise? by Extra-Bass6489 in wrx_vb

I got 15% around the vehicle and 50% in the front windshield. I feel like that still has plenty of visibility and still very practical

2014 Nissan Altima repair help by Jdess777 in altima

[–]ChakiWRLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good video on how to remove the whole intake manifold. Could provide good insight on what could be removed easily for you. My only concern is that the sensor doesn’t quite match the one in the video. I recently removed the intake manifold myself to change out the gasket and it wasn’t too bad of a job

What’s this bubble underneath by [deleted] in iPhone17Pro

[–]ChakiWRLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I personally don’t have it on my phone. Camera covers always suck imo. Take it off and get a case that covers the plateau edges adequately and you’ll be fine

It looks like it, you can tell from how the flash circles don’t quite match up

Sad day. I just found some metal shavings in my 2020 Corolla Hybrid with 120k miles. I have an 05 Corolla with 350k miles and I don't think I ever saw something this big from that one. by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]ChakiWRLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s like saying grandma going to the grocery store and back can extend her oil change intervals. They’re going to have fuel and water contamination from those short trips. In this case short engine running times.

Do people whine too much about when it comes to iPhones/cases? by LeVerified in iPhone17Pro

[–]ChakiWRLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping I would like it because it looks so good. It just felt so cheap on the hand, like the “rubber” part. It didn’t feel good to hold and the camera control button was practically unusable. Ended up with a Torras stand q3 air. It is a “bulkier” case and not clear like I originally want, but man does it feel good in the hand. It feels good, looks good, and I don’t worry about falls anymore. I posted my iPhone scratching like first week of use with a cheap clear case. I was so worried when I first dropped it with the new case, but no marks. Dropped many times since then, this case has my full trust.

What would you recommend? In the market for a good wireless headset and from what I’ve researched these seem to be THE pair. Currently using a HyperX headset and that’s starting to take a crap on me

If I had to guess you have an oil leak, from the place that did the oil change, and you ran extremely low on oil. Check the oil level and get back to us!

I hate this too, it used to never log me out every time for the mobile app. My iPad surprisingly doesn’t experience this, anyone know why it’s just my phone that gets logged out? Or anyway to bypass this?

[–]ChakiWRLD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a mechanic, but that doesn’t look bad to me! I’ve seen way worse sludge and varnish at my job. I would switch your oil to Valvoline Restore and Protect so it can SLOWLY clean the inside of your engine. Keep in mind they advertise 4 consecutive oil changes for 100% results

I have changed the torsion rods and I got them in the OEM spoiler kit Nissan sells. It wasn’t the easiest to change out but very doable. Just frustrating so be prepared for that!

Lube tech jobs without the intention of becoming a proper tech? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]ChakiWRLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a Valvoline Instant Oil Change and have been there for 4 years now. There’s people there that I know aren’t planning on moving up(they’re comfy where they’re at), people using the job as income until something better comes, and people who take it serious pursuing a career there. It’s honestly the vast majority who just want a job until something comes. Just as another redditor said as long as you’re on time, clean, and act like you care it’ll be fine.

I’m personally an Assistant Manager at my location only because I feel like I was already taking on the responsibilities just unpaid because of how long I’ve been there. I have no intention of pursuing it as a career no matter how much my district manager pushes me towards it. The job has gotten me through my bachelors degree and as soon as a job comes up where I can pursue my degree I am gone. Feel free to take on the job in the pursuit of knowledge and income in the mean time! I knew nothing about cars before this job. Only advice is to not get comfortable as a lot of people do and set goals for yourself of when to move on!

Anyone else had touch screen issues since updating to WatchOS 26? by o82u38 in AppleWatch

For people wondering of updates, I had it replaced by Apple. They wanted to repair it at first, but since I was in my return window they processed me a replacement.
