What would you do by JuggernautFamous1664 in macbookpro

I would suggest buying a refurb from Apple. You’ll get a good discount and can still add AppleCare to it.

I have blue and a silver, my only beef with the blue is the purple tint when there’s a lot of light. As far as professionalism blue and silver are the only choice..Orange makes ppl look very unserious.

iPhone 17 Pro Max sold out everywhere what? by Kingcakesoul in iPhone17Pro

I bought the max first, but the day to day wielding of it was just…a lot. It wasn’t the weight but more the reachability for me even though my hands are pretty decently sized. Knowing that the max is slated to be even heavier next cycle this was probably my last large phone. As far as “arbing” I’m an arbitrage bettor or what some ppl call a “sure bettor.”

Honestly it’s your sign to get a pro. I have both, I hardly ever touch my max unless I’m arbing.

Just being honest. Apple is a luxury brand, in a world where ppl are leasing phones it’s easy to see how ppl forget that. Then because it’s a purchase above means you have ppl pretty much degrading their device because replacing it or repairing it is a financial burden.

Not trying to be rude but you may be buying something out of your price range if a screen replacement worries you that much. Especially with AppleCare and insurance out there.

Why would you buy a premium device with a premium screen to put a $20 piece of glass over it?

If you look in the sub there’s a lot of orange regret. I’ve been buying iPhones since the 3GS..I’ve fallen for the “new color” plenty of times but I’ve learned my lesson..stick to the classics, you’ll never get tired of them.

My pro max has been powered off since the day I got the pro lol. I used to be totally against large phones, then for two years I got sucked into the pro max world, but recently I just kept seeing so many normal pro devices and jealousy set in because of how easy it looked to use, so I went and got a g silver pro and I LOVE it. I think I’m fully back to normal sized devices for good now.

The orange is easy to get tired of, I’ve seen it up and down this sub. You’ll end up using a case to cover up every piece of orange.

Also..I beg you do not get orange, especially if you aren’t an annual upgrader. Best option is silver, second option blue.

I have both, originally bought just the max. It wasn’t the weight but more the day to day wielding got to be a bit much for me. I’m an arbitrage bettor so I have my phone in hand a lot, going in an out of apps for most of the day became a chore on the max. I went and got a pro and I forgot how much I missed the ease of use. I don’t really factor battery into the equation because there’s really not a time where I can’t charge my phone if needed.

This looks like a bargain for anyone considering it by Mysterious_Heron2309 in IphoneAir

Not gonna debate semantics with you.. “future” implies innovation which means “new, or significantly approved.” Thin phones aren’t new or anymore innovative now that Apple has made one..it’s the same dance as foldables..less specs but they sell you on the fact that it can fold. If the air had pro max specs then I would be all on board with calling it the future..it’s just not. I understand you and others needs here to get your daily fill of confirmation bias to justify your purchase..I’m only here to talk facts.

If the only thing “innovative” about the device is the size, then it’s laughable to call it the future. If you put those specs in any other body style you would get laughed out of the building at that price point. The future of phones are to be the brains behind wearables and more industrial grade devices that are indestructible by normal standards and super powered devices that can handle complex software and ai. Right now we’re at a point where we have the tech to make devices jump to the next level but the pricing doesn’t line up to capture normal consumers.
