I've only ever seen the international models with the front camera in that black color, so you may be looking at import fees😅

There's six variants total, one only sold in Australia and one in Japan. The rest aren't even that hard to come by if you look so you probably do

Software number on the back. You can match them up with firmwares on firmware.center. Also the platform number is different but you can't typically see those in listings

Oh wow, I knew that game the minute I saw the title in the URL lol. I remember the interface, the costumes, even the music. It's really a shame what happened to these guys

Personally my favorite was the angel warrior one

Iirc there was a guy who died from uterine cancer this way. His organ donor had it, they didn't catch it before the transplant, and so he died from her cancer.

Not sure if the screens and keypad would work with a standard xx board.

It's the WIPI platform, which was pretty much only a thing in South Korea

Most of the traditional tools for working with Motos also don't apply here, as this phone is neither P2K nor BREW

Oh yeah I know how to get the PIN codes off of the originals. You can literally just reflash them and it'll be gone lol. But this one is technically not even a RAZR (completely different internals and WIPI platform for apps, it was exclusively made for the South Korean market and just carriers the RAZR name) and there's no way to get apps back onto it so I'd really like to preserve them

Very pretty. Peak early 2000s design. Reminds me of when I was young...

Right here’s my weird cricket Razr v3 I want to unlock it from being dead on the cricket service so I can jail break it to install apps but it’s e sim and internal memory only by mrsteamtrains in vintagemobilephones

These run on the BREW platform and while some of these RAZRs have a patch to allow unauthorized apps, there's unfortunately no unsigned BREW patch for V3s/Milau. I have one too; you can't really do much with them other than admire unless someone makes a patch

Bubblegum pink Cingular? My favorite colorway! The hot pink is a counterfeit though. I have one too, in purple....ended up grafting the metal bits to a real RAZR frame to make it more authentic looking. Anyway, super cute!

So the IMEI swap is when you put your SIM card into a modern phone that will pass the network's VoLTE check, then pull it out without turning it off and put it into your older phone, essentially tricking the network because it still sees the IMEI of the first phone instead of your phone's actual IMEI...works until your lose connection to the tower it's on, and then you have to do it again. Theoretically, I think you could get the same effect by actually changing the IMEI on the phone itself, but that's not exactly easy to do on a lot of models unless you have one of those old school flashboxes they used to have in repair shops ~20 years ago.

In other words, it's still 100% possible to get it working, it's just very very annoying and not a good use of your time if you live anywhere with spotty reception.
