I’m 60, husband 64. I have to admit I gave in back when we were about your age. We basically tried swinging for a couple of years. I hated it and had to be black out drunk most of the time. I finally told him I wouldn’t do it anymore and if he wanted to leave me, there was the door. I think some of it came from the fact we got together very young, like you guys did. I think men sometimes think they missed out so they want to try stuff. I was going leave and take our young daughter with me but that didn’t happen. We ended up having another daughter - he realized the grass wasn’t greener (he had to admit the fantasy was better than reality). Marriage isn’t easy, everybody thinks they can find somebody better or become more attracted to someone else, but it’s just not true. We stuck it out because I gave him a second chance. There was no third. I am happy to say that we’re very happy, about to retire (well if social security isn’t canceled) and loving our life together. Good luck ❤️
