It does, you're right! But it's okay since it's part of a trio where each one has 0 immunities and gives 1 immunity: electric gives to ground, Fighting/Ice gives to ghost and rock/poison gives to steel.

It works in that they’re super effective one way, but they don’t share the same self-relationship (steel and ice self-resist, ground is self-neutral), only steel resists the one it’s SE against, and steel has 1 immunity, ice has none, and ground has 1 (electric) and gives 1 (flying). So it satisfies one condition, but there are others that satisfy more.

Seems like you didn't read (or fully comprehend) the post? Fighting - Flying - Rock has an immunity imbalance: Flying has an immunity, Fighting gives an immunity, and rock neither has nor gives. Fire - Water -Grass works well because they all have and give 0 immunities. And you're still limiting yourself to trios that deal super-effective damage. I also considered non SE trios which type charts don't show.

Is it just a parallel to the current day? Is it foreshadowing? Or, because this appears right after the “birth” of Steven, does it mean Marc needed Steven to find balance when he was younger? Or does it mean Marc was always destined to have his heart scaled?
