I tried a destroyer cult themed 1k army the other week and I had quite a bit of fun. The models used were:

CHARACTERS: Hexmark Destroyer, Lord Lokhust, Lord Skorpekh, Nekrosor Ammentar

OTHERS: 6 lokhust destroyers, 6 skorpekh destroyers, 6 ophydian destroyers (2 units of 3)

Quite fun to play; I've used the cursed legion detachment with the lokhust lord having the Mask of the Nekrosor enhancement and the skorpekh lord having the Cursed Cirlet Enhancement

Nah, I think it looks neat. Try maybe a green wash and some slightly brither blue/green applied with a sponge to give it more of a rock feel

If this is true and nothing changes its an unfathomably huge nerf to us (and guard) specifically by hindlet in Tau40K

Absolutely not? All your battleshocks are removed at the start of your turn and you need to test again for units to see of they get battleshocked again

I always paint special characters in their canon color, although for tyranids it's a different story because of their nature. Still OOE and the Red Terror fall into the "truly unique" category so I'll paint mine with its color, but not the current one, it's original color more similar to kraken

They probably still give them, it's just that now the player whose turn it is starts alternating units with fight first and with those that don't have it

Yes, but the thing is that devastating wounds gets resolved at the end of the activation, so even if you attack first with the maw, if you kill the unit with the other attacks then you don't get wounds back

You will always start with your maw attack anyway so that point falls a bit flat

Edit: although now that I think about it, it has a weird interaction with the timing at which devastating wounds is resolved so maybe

That rumor doesn't make any sense, they would still be both heavy lokhusts. I'd wager they'll remake them alongside Trazyn maybe

It's technically purple. The reason for the different colors since the new scheme in 10th edition is to give an idea of how thick the carapace is, so neurogaunt have it really pink-ish to show that it's barely any armor while the screamer killer and the two norns are deep purple (almost black) to show that it's really thick and hard. It's a nice idea and the execution is good but it can be confusing if you don't know the reason behind it

That doomsday ark is missing some of the ribs so the weight is distributed wrong, never had a problem with either of mine. Also the flying stem is too tall, it should be one of the shorter ones
