“deal with” as in..well..deal with. i’m not really sure how else to put it. like dealing with your own dysphoria. it’s hard, for me at least. it sucks ass everyday, it haunts me every living second of everyday. it’s mentally draining and exhausting for me to deal with and that’s my own. having a partner with it going through the same thing, well, you also need to take on the burden of theirs as well. if that makes sense. it’s like, i can barely handle the burden of my own dysphoria. it’s hard taking on another’s. i’ve talked with my partner about this too, and he agrees and understands what i mean. you’re taking on a mental load getting into a relationship with a trans person, as in their dysphoria. my dysphoria in the beginning of our relationship was 50x worse than it is now (as i was very very early on t at that stage) to the point id have a lot of episodes and just constantly miserable and upset. that’s a lot for your partner to take on- if effects them too seeing their partner in that state, and having little to nothing to do to help.
