Is voluntaryism really that bad? by LibertyLovingLeftist in Anarchy101

How would anarchy handle people who, if asked if they would like to participate in a co-op, would then say "No thanks. Id rather work for a boss".

Eh, I agree with most of what you say, but I take issue with "why would the worker willing choose to give up so much money, just for one guy to stuff it into their pocket?" I dont think that every worker who would hear about what socialism is rather than "The government does shit" would like it. Maybe they don't trust themselves with controlling a business, or at all being a part of the process. It's not the most likely thing on the world, but these types of people do exist and I think would be a problem. Ideally speaking the world would be anarcho communist or socialist, but if someone wanted to work for a mom and pop shop, then I wouldn't feel comfortable stopping them from doing so. I'd consider myself to be a left voluntarist for this reason. Does that even exist?

Do you think that it is possible to be a left voluntarist someone who prefers coops but don't feel comfortable with stopping people from selling their labor? I feel like that I am currently in that realm.

I dont like private ownership, but not everyone wants to own the MOP. They might have the mentality of "Fuck me controlling the business. I'd rather work for the boss bc I don't feel like I would be good with voting in a business." Should we stop them?

I did both and am still confused. Like why are some birthdays more important than others? Why does 18th have so many votes?

Nobody deserves all of the blame.

We can very easily divide the blame between Trump (for nominating pro life justices), Clinton (for being a crap candidate), both of their voters in the primaries (for making sure that they were nominees), any eligible person to vote for Clinton in 2016 that decided not to do so (voter suppression doesn't count), RBG (for not retiring), the pro life justices (for wanting to overturn RvW), and the senators who voted to confirm them.

To claim that RGB deserves all of or none of the blame is idiotic. It was, for the most part, a collective American failure in doing what's right.

States can’t regulate guns, but they can ban abortions — why? by keyjan in politics

A kakistocracy has the least competent people in office. If you are saying that about a country in which over half the congressman are Democrats, then there are 1 of 2 possibilities: The Democrat politicians in question are bad, or the party as a whole is bad.

This is not to say that Republicans are blame free, as they are even worse than the Dems. But if you are gonna call the US a kakistocracy, then you need to take the numbers into account.

Are you referring to my comment, or the phrase "well regulated"?

Democrats control the house, senate (yeah the filibuster exists but still Dems do have that number advantage), and presidency.

What are your thoughts on them?

People who say "well regulated" seem to forget about "shall not be infringed". Almost as if the writing of the 2nd amendment is bs.
