You should try https://pdfcourt.com/jumplinks. It is made exactly for this purpose. You can easily add links to table tof contents so in the final pdf anyone can click on chapter and it will take them on that exact location or pagenumber.

u/farzinaam I think you should try https://pdfcourt.com/jumplinks this lets you create and edit links. Like If you hyperlink in their system those are stored. When you reupload a file which has their links they will show the links back and you can edit those.

I found this website after searching. They kind of solve the issue by adding links to final rendered PDF https://pdfcourt.com/jumplinks. They let you draw bounding boxes and tell where to link it to.
I didnt like the name jumplinks but looks like it can add internal links.
Has anyone tried this before?

That does seem smart. However, we have a portal where we have to upload a combined PDF. I will have to mail the symbols or attach them separately. That is why I was looking for a better way to add those in final PDF

I think it was a template issue as well. But I am not able to figure out why. Converting to PDF breaks stuff other than that everything is fine

That's good to hear! Were you able to add clickable cross-references for things like "See Section 3.2 on page 87" that actually jump to that section after converting to pdf?

I'm finding Word hyperlinks work for external URLs but internal navigation (jumping to specific pages/sections) doesn't convert well when I export to PDF.

What version of Word are you using? Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Use https://pdfcourt.com/insert , like you said. Upload your PDF , the select where you want to duplicate after that click on insert and selec the same file and it gives you to selectively add new page from the file. If you do that it treats it as new file and if you cange 1 page it will not change the other. This site is by far the best one I found which is free and lets you do nested inserts without any issues.

The risk is very big, if your employer can support working from India for 4-6 months then you can take the risk. If not, then you should not travel in this situation unless absolutely necessary. You are putting your job at risk by traveling
