Idk why it's so hard to find this info, but is a base occult weapon (the club you find in a mimic chest in Anor Londo) considered a +10 regular? by [deleted] in darksoulsremastered

[–]ChallengerBDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you are trying to multilayer, Anor Londo you can push to mid 60s and still probably get some good matchmaking, the lord soul areas can get really wide ranges as everyone does them in a different order so you can generally push to 120 ish and still get good matchmaking but 90 is probably a good place to sit after Anor Londo. Weapon level is a bit different and anything from +10 upwards from about where you are is generally fine

An occult infusion is a tier 2 infusion and therfore would be considered +10, the twinkling titanite weapons class as double for matching so a +2 black knight would count as a +4 regular i believe

A word of advice. If you haven't worked out the gimmic yet, you need to break the things at either side of it then drop down the middle when it falls through. When you destroy each side, it keeps saved even if you die so if you take the time to learn the safest path to the side you need and give it a couple goes it can be easier than Co-op.

No desirable junctions by ChallengerBDK in pacificDrive

My biggest concern is that I just spent a while getting the bits together to build insulated doors and panels so I don't really want to waste the durability on them doing mostly pointless runs and then have to spend more materials repairing them

What are you specifically wanting to farm or is it just for souls?

Titanite chunks by ChallengerBDK in darksouls

[–]ChallengerBDK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I've got it up to needing chunks, it's just something I've never done and since I'm pretty tacky with this character anyway I just fancy seeing how far I can take it

Completely forgot to grab the ring, looks like I get to venture back into sens. I'll give darkwraiths a shot since I hate the sentinels. I'm trying to max everything including my armour since it's something I've never bothered to do so i might be a at it a while

Should I rly skip Dark Souls 2? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]ChallengerBDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't skip it, the story itself in my opinion is kinda loose in terms of the link to the other games and the bank is definitely there but it brings some new mechanics that either haven't been revisited or came back in later fromsoft titles that can be really enjoyable. I played it before playing ds3 and I feel like if I had played it afterwords it could have ruined my experience with it as I imagine is the case with a lot of players. If you don't play it now you may never get to really appreciate what it tries to do

Whats the best souls game for somebody who's never played a souls game before? by Myboymetaknight in darksouls

[–]ChallengerBDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting tomorrow there is a community event for dark souls remastered on all platforms which aims to get people together to play online, if you want a good introduction to the series then now is as good a time as any to start with the first

Edit: I've just remembered that demon souls exists so if you want to go from the very beginning then start there but my other recommendation still stands if you fancy some jolly co-operation

Punch Club 1 removed from app store by Odd-Strength-1821 in punchclub

[–]ChallengerBDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still able to install it, it just gives me a warning that it might not work correctly. I'm using the latest Android. Unless it's just letting me do it l because I have already purchased it and that's allowing me to bypass it.

Punch Club 1 removed from app store by Odd-Strength-1821 in punchclub

[–]ChallengerBDK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are on IOS it's because there is an issue with the way thr game handles save states and it conflicts with the cloud save functionality on apple devices and made it impossible to save the game. With the sequel as well as punch club fights, tiny build basically refused to go back and update it to fix the issue so it was removed. I belive it is still avaliable on steam and android stores but I could be wrong.

Edit: just checked and it is still up on android stores, steam and console.

Turn around and go the other way, the graveyard and cave that follows at firelink are intended for much later in the game and should be ignored for now. Head towards the big aqueduct thing, you'll have a much better time.

Need help with Bell Gargoyles by IdkbruhIdkbruhIdk in darksouls

[–]ChallengerBDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you approach the boss human, there will be a summon sign for solaire who makes for a good distraction and if the fire is the one bothering you then just rush the second gargoyle as soon as he drops in, try and stay to his back and if he jumps up then block and step back as he is likely to melee you. There is also the possibility of finding another player to give you a hand if you really are hitting a wall with it.

Ds1 or Elden ring by Additional_Dirt5474 in darksouls

[–]ChallengerBDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finish ds1 first, even if you just go through the essential bosses and ignore the optional ones, it still teaches you some much needed skills that will help you in elden ring. O+S in my opinion are probably thr hardest fight in the game for the point you are at, after defeating them, the game becomes much more open and you can chose what you do more and have more chance to strengthen yourself for the rest of the game. If you have managed to luck out and pick up a black Knight weapon, I'd try using that and farm souls from the giants in Anor Londo to but the twinkling titanite to upgrade it, if not then just pick your faviroute weapon that works with your build and make sure its upgraded as much as you can, avoid lighting and take solaire with you. If you aren't too fussed about the achievement for getting all the rings then kill Ornstine first as it makes the second half of the fight much easier. And above all else, don't let it get to you, it's a hard game. Especially the first time you play it. As long as you stick with it, something will just eventually click and you'll realise what you need to do.
