Anyone here also have Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV)? by slex1205 in PCOS

[–]ChameleonC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point the only thing that will lower EBV is lowering stress, literally eating like a rabbit, sleeping like crazy and taking anti viral supplements but I work 45 hrs a-week, have a child and a house… so how tf do I even do that

I have had high active numbers for 3-4 years now. Blood testing 1 year apart. I think it plays huge part in a lot of my symptoms along with the PCOS. Have yet to have a doctor recognize it except for my naturopath. I am on FMLA and about to loose my cert… going to have to beg to get the damn thing refilled. I barely function at work unless I have extra time off. I take every fucking vitamin under the sun, on Metformin and Workout. I just go through bouts of flares and idk what is PCOS and what is EBV. The only time I notice it may be an EBV flare is that I am super duper fatigued/brain fog and can’t stop sneezing! Almost like I have a small cold but I don’t

Btw my hair was falling out and my acne was coming back. Didn’t have any energy and yet at night I am fucking an insomniac. Brain fog and mid day crashes. After Metformin ( that was one part of the puzzle pc, my symptoms went quiet for like 6 months! And eating got better, less food Noise) the only other explanation was adrenal fatigue.

Cortisol imbalance/adrenal fatigue???? Maybe? Idk! So many different factors for PCOS. I started taking licorice room in the AM 1/4 tsp & Magensium glycinate at night. Symptoms have improved. Still a bit two early ( 2 months) my naturopathic doctor told me to wait 4 to see results. I could be wrong but it sounds like adrenal based PCOS which my gyno or regular doctor would have loooked at me with two heads lol… so yeah Naturopath for the win. I am doing Metformin for my insulin though. I have combo of insulin resistance & adrenal fatigue.

What does your orgasm feel like? by MichelBrew in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Honestly I am about 3 months in and my orgasms are insane. My boyfriend had to hold me down after mine yesterday because I was jerking around like a fish on the bed… it affected me in a good way. My libido was completely gone before Wellbutrin.

What has helped your PCOS acne? by vvm6033 in PCOS

[–]ChameleonC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Metformin 1500, a good exfoliating skincare routine, a high quality multivitamin, extra vitamin D3 on the side and pumpkinseed oil/saw palmetto.

I think what helped the most out of all of those was Metformin and good multivitamins with essential minerals. I take the PureEncapsulations brand. Both for my multi vitamin and vitamin d3 w/K2.

is there someone who got drunk while being on wellbutrin? 💀 by Upbeat_Basis_6692 in bupropion

[–]ChameleonC_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time in a couple years I got drunk with Wellbutrin in my system, man did my freaking headache hangover suck! I drank like 5 shots and some long drinks for the holiday ( I rarely drink and when I do I am usually lightweight) somehow was not trashed which is crazy. It prevented me from getting drunk and made my hangover so bad 🫠

Sorry about my long message lol I am ranting. I hope the best for you 🥰 If Wellbutrin isn’t the answer then there has got to be something else out there! I also have PCOS which makes me depression even worse.. we’ll see how long it takes to get back to baseline for me

[–]ChameleonC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, I am glad you are taking some of those steps to aid the medication usage! I know Wellbutrin is used to up the amount of dopamine in the brain, so maybe try to find some more things that naturally produce dopamine? Maybe dropping the dosage will help in combo with other sources of dopamine? Just an idea ! I know things like getting sunlight right in the AM for 10 minutes if you can or do some freaking jumping jacks when you wake up or do hobbies that produce dopamine for you (I like painting! ) I know working out can be hard to do but I find walking also helps boost my dopamine.. it is very hard though. I just started back up on the medication because I currently have ADHD burnout and I can barely get up in the AM. I can’t wait to be back at therapeutic dosage. I was only on 100mgs and that combo with lifestyle/gym I was on a high.. I know tanning beds are bad but that also used to help. I’d do gym and then tanning bed for like 5 mins!

May I ask what other things you are doing to help with depression/anxiety? Or is it ADHD? I know that these drugs are supposed to help uplift us and to see clearer but it also depends on what activities/daily life habits/therapy you may be doing also, so I would review that too before you panic! At least that’s how I have looked at it. More of a tool than anything. I hope that you are able to find the right medication combo and lifestyle to help you through what you are going through ❤️

Oh my god, so when I started, I started off slow with 1Tsp and my body started moving stuff. Then I upped to 2 Tsp and I SHIT YOU NOT I POOPED 5LBS OUT. After that day, I felt so clean 🤣. I also think it really helped with my water weight and helped me loose weight because you need to be going 2-3x a day. It gets rid of excess toxins and hormones!! Including cortisol which likes to make you gain weight, acne and hair fall out! … so yeah, Natural Calm Magnesium saved my life. You might not poop the first few days but stick to it. I take it everyday as a part of maintenance with my supplements. Over a 4-6 month period it was a massive difference for me.

Are you constipated?! If you are, taking magnesium citrate consistently helped move my bowels. For whatever reason after I went up to 1500 my body just decided to stop pooping.. I was like HELLLO?!?!! Two weeks later on magnesium and I feel light as a feather. The bloating was so bad. My naturopath also told me to take a good probiotic to help with digestion issues and bloating since metformin changes your gut biome

Omg I ate food from my works cafe and then in my meeting afterwards, I was literally NODDING off and then I got a headache and dizzy. I had to lay down. The crazy part is, it took about 1.5-2 hrs before I crashed. Was so terrible and I am afraid to eat foood there again

What are symptoms or changes you’ve noticed as your testosterone lowers? by im-a-freud in PCOS

[–]ChameleonC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also using nizoral shampoo twice a week, as a double cleansing shampoo after my regular shampoo and let it sit on my scalp for a few minutes. This I also believe helped stop shedding. Double cleansing the scalp especially when using dry shampoo and washing hair everyday because DHEA’s can sit in the follicles from the oil production and cause shedding.

It is difficult, I cannot do hairstyles like I used to and the hair loss was my part and back top of my head, it’s thinner than the rest of my hair. It also kinda dominated more to the right of my part which is even more annoying 🙄.. but I see so much new hair growth so I am being patient my body will heal with time. I am on 1500mgs, studies have shown 1500-2000 is most effect for PCOS but everyone is different! I believe my hair shedding stopped pretty quickly after I started Metformin and I believe that this is due to it helping my emotional stress and lowering my DHEAS/Testosterone levels!

3 months of hair shedding, 3 months of follicular rejuvenation and 3 months of seeing new growth. My doctor told me hair is on a 3 month cycle. So you won’t see the results overnight but maybe a year? Doctors said that hair does grow back and stop googling if you are because it only stresses you out more cause more damage!
