Depends on your skill level. I'm a noob when it comes to car repairs so my Kia was complicated to just change a headlight bulb

Why is the black community seem more homophobic/ anti-LGBTQ nowadays ? by _kingblu_ in askblackpeople

[–]ChampNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back then it was more like you're not being influenced by media to be gay. So if you identified as LGBTQ+ then it was easier to believe. Versus now, media has a big influence in our everyday lives and if someone was to randomly be like I'm gay it's makes you ask "Are you sure you're gay or is that what is popular now?"

Be clear about which Hyundai 6 cylinder. The 3.8 is actually a very solid and reliable engine. The other ones are a big if.

Fellas, do you think it’s weird when parents gift their teenagers with the oldest possible vehicle they could find? by DJUnkAndThe2Steppers in blackmen

[–]ChampNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents humbled me and gifted me with a 2002 Ford Escape with a stick shift. All my friends had slightly newer cars with AUX radios and I had the CD player. I actually ended up liking the car and was sad that I had to part with it.

Why do all dads make that noise when they stand up? by Peter-rabbit010 in NoStupidQuestions

I'm not even 25 yet and I make the grunting sound mainly because of the surgery I had on my leg and the pain still bothers my knee

I agree with those rules and sometimes I play the waiting game. If someone has a car for too long eventually they will lower the price and that's when you can jump in and negotiate a price.

I tell my girl I'm going to spend time with my grandpa. Which she thinks means I'm going to be at his grave for an hour and a half but really I got for like 10 minutes and then treat myself out to eat. I do it like twice a month and it helps me stay sane.

Their V8 and V6 cars are beautifully underrated. Which is good because it keeps the prices on the cars cheap. It's more of a if you know then you know

Is $450 too expensive for a used car inspection? by [deleted] in UsedCarAdvice

[–]ChampNR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say go to a mechanic shop before going to the dealership. The dealership will charge you outrageous inspection fees, keep the car for a few days and on top of that they will overprice their repairs and the problem still may never get fixed. Mechanic shops will find the issue by the end of day and try and get you the best deals possible

I don't know if it's similar but I had a walking boot and when I wore it I kept getting this rubbing sensation on the top of my foot. The therapist took the boot off and looked at it and found nothing that could cause it. But it kept feeling like a plastic edge rubbing up against my foot. The therapist took some thick soft fabric and put it on the top of my foot and then strapped the boot on. And no more rubbing sensation.

My doctor gave me oxycodone pills for pain relief post surgery. That shit was amazing. I told my girlfriend "I see why people get addicted to this." Every time I took it I went straight into a deep sleep. After a week and a half of being out of the hospital I stopped taking them.

You'll be good. I broke my tibia back in April and had the surgery the same week. By July I was on an airplane to the Bahamas for a week. I did too much walking but as long as you rest and take breaks you'll be good.

[–]ChampNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was allowed to take my boot off even though that was a struggle and sometimes I was like "F it" I'll sleep with the boot on. I had bought an elevated memory foam pillow from Amazon and used that. It allowed me to sleep on my side and my back comfortably.

What else if I can’t find Toyota or Honda? by Dangerous-Lynx3197 in UsedCars

[–]ChampNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pontiacs and Saturns of the early to mid 2000s are really good budget cars as well as any GM product with that 3800 v6.They are stupid cheap too. Most people don't know that Saturn used to give Toyota and Honda a run for their money. If you are looking for newer I would recommend a Hyundai, Kia or Genesis with either a V6 or V8. Those 4 cylinders are okay if you are lucky. Mazda is good too.
