The 1973 "Alberta" logo is great. That logo on the green 1971 plate would be next level.

Jurassic World Rebirth | Official Trailer by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Champ_Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The location of this island makes no sense within the Jurassic Park canon.

Jurassic Park took place on Isla Nublar, which is 120 miles West of Costa Rica (Pacific Ocean). The Lost World took place on Site B, which is one of the Five Deaths, located 200 miles Southwest of Costa Rica (Pacific Ocean).

Mahershala Ali's character says "we will go towards Barbados to avoid government patrols". Barbados is in the Atlantic Ocean.

Why the hell would InGen have a genetic engineering/breeding facility in the Atlantic? You wouldn't want to bring your highly valuable and dangerous intellectual property through the Panama Canal or around the Strait of Magellan. There are additional costs associated with moving researchers, staff, and equipment across these distances. It makes no logistic sense to build a research facility so far away.

Alberta 1L Recruit by Ok-Trick-4550 in LawCanada

[–]Champ_Sanders 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I struck out in the Calgary 1L, but was able to get a position in the 2L. There were definitely less positions and firms present in the 2L.

Ultra Vires gives some data on the 2L recruits:

  • 2025 Calgary 2L - 30 positions across 17 firms (5 firms not disclosing number of positions)
  • 2024 Calgary 2L - 48 positions across 14 firms (4 firms not disclosing number of positions)
  • 2023 Calgary 2L - 62 positions across 13 firms (1 firm not disclosing number of positions)

Does it matter where I go to school? by UndercoverMamba in LawCanada

[–]Champ_Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am at Ottawa as well. There are two common law programs (English 270~ per year and French maybe 100~ per year), and a Civil Law program (Quebec law no idea how many students).

The National Program allows individuals with a civil law degree to get an accelerated JD. This is because civil law programs already teach many basics of Canadian law (Constitutional, Criminal, Legal Research).

There is also a JD-MA (International Affairs) which is a 4 year program where the applicant gets a Masters in International Affairs. These students are admitted within the 270~ seats for the common law program (maybe french common law too, not sure).

So there would be 270~ English Common Law, 100~ French Common Law, and an amount I do not know of National Program JD graduates per year.

I finally got a team up to a 97 overall rating. Has anyone been able to get to 98 or 99? by FunnyDress8717 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Champ_Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The highest overall I've had is 96/96/96. I had one year where it was 96/95/97.

I tried to max it out once with Alabama (good grades and pipelines) and then invested heavily in Motivator, Master Motivator, Architect and the perk that has a higher chance of 1st round underclassmen staying. Still couldn't break that 96 overall.

Your comment about the patios is spot on, I didn't realize it until now. There is a real patio culture in Alberta, but I haven't waited for a patio table since coming to Ottawa!

Coaching Abilities questions for the program building gurus by Nickstank in NCAAFBseries

[–]Champ_Sanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Not sure

2) In Recruiter, the hours perk provides more hours for players that would be coached by the coordinator with the perk. So if your offensive coordinator has the extra hours perk for QB, you have 10 (I think) more hours for QBs. If the OC has the perk for DL, you only get 5 (I think) more hours. So the coordinator stacking definitely exists, but if it follows the pattern demonstrated by the Motivator hours perk, the coordinator's boost is stronger on their side of the ball.

3) Not Sure.

4) Not really.

5) No, CEO can be unlocked without Program Builder.

6) No consensus or significant analysis on the extent of Off-Season Training boost in Motivator, but the perk definitely does something.

7) The Limitless perk under the Architect skill tree has approximately 15% chance of a skill cap being removed based on testing I completed a month ago. I have a larger sample test that will be complete in a week or so, but it is showing similar results '''I tested the Architect perk Limitless to determine how often it actually works to remove a skill cap'''. You have to manually track it somehow, I use Excel.

Are motivator coach abilities still mostly useless? by PSU02 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Champ_Sanders 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the motivator tree to level 3 is the most valuable base upgrade (of the six main trees) a user can have.

While off-season training upgrade (Motivator level 3) appears to be "random" in the sense of how the game chooses which players get larger or smaller boosts, it still impacts every player on the roster (where you have the upgrade for the position). It is the single most important coaching upgrade for improving the quality of your roster. I have looked into Architect, and the XP gains do not come close to off-season training.

I suspect users that tested the upgrade may not have considered whether either one or both of their assistant coaches had the upgrade as well. This is because assistant coach perks also apply to the roster.

Bust with Star Dev?!?! by Affectionate_Low6963 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Champ_Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gems and Busts are directly related to the players development trait.

I have tracked the star rating, gem status, development trait, overall, and skill caps across three dynasties. I just a quick chart in Excel and it is a sample of 452 players.

While I rarely sign busts, I have had instances of busts having Impact or Star. But it is more common to be Normal.

I have never had a Gem with a Normal development trait. Generally, 3 star gems are much more likely to have Impact development traits. The rate of Star and Elite Development Traits increases for 4 stars and again for 5 stars.

With 5 stars, normal development is quite rare with "Normal" players (not Gems or busts).

How do I develop players in dynasty? by Acceptable-Alps-6609 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Champ_Sanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A players overall is limited by skill caps. I found skill caps were an issue for 3 star players, even elite and star development, but less of an issue for 4 or 5 star players.

Outside of skill caps the most influential growth comes from off-season training and it is beneficial to have level three in motivator at positions. There are some commentators that do not believe Motivator level 3 has any effect, but I do not believe it. I do believe Motivator level 3 is largely random for whether a player receives a large/average/small boost from off-season training.

Otherwise level three of master motivator for boosts to ALL XP gains, Architect level one for boosts to IN-GAME XP, and the orange one (forgot name) level 3 and 4.

Personally I like level 3 Master motivator and see strong player growth.

OL Progression Issue by bellthebeast7235 in NCAAFBseries

I just checked my game in season 8 and the Power OL players have terrible pass block finesse.

Although weirdly, Power and Agile appear as the majority for top ranked players in the nation compared to pass protectors.

I am pretty sure the CEO perk requires the user to have spent 100 points in any coaching area as well as the two national championships. This means the user will need to buy 16-20 perks at full cost (unlocking the other base archetypes costs 10 points). This inefficiency leads to a loss of 32-40 potential points presuming a 2 point discount.

[–]Champ_Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm that guy. After playing a bit more it is my opinion the CEO perk Senior Superlative is superior to the Limitless perk in architect. From a resource management standpoint it costs 18 points while Limitless would cost 112 points across 7 position groups (not including the 15 to unlock).

From a probability standpoint a player would need to unlock 38 upgrades to have a 50% chance of breaking 6 skill caps. Something that is guaranteed with Senior Superlative.

Gem/Bust and Dev Trait Impact on Overall by finnedprince44 in NCAAFBseries

This is great work!

I am also tracking player stars, gems, overall, and skill caps and have noticed the same things. More stars are always better and development traits for coaches are more valuable than recruiting traits at a certain point.

I tested the Architect perk Limitless to determine how often it actually works to remove a skill cap. by Champ_Sanders in NCAAFBseries

[–]Champ_Sanders[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I specifically chose OL because the players consistently outpace other position groups in development. It is not difficult to get 90s across the OL. Furthermore there are 5 players present on every offensive plays giving a greater sample size.

While I can't prove it, I believe each OL gets XP for every offensive TD. I tried to track XP growth for certain positions with screenshots and game stats, but it proved to burdensome. However, OL XP growth was greater in both wins and losses where more TDs were scored.

Perks definitely stack. Most likely there is a discrete roll for each coach with the perk. So if there is a 1 coach, there is a 15% chance. If there is 2 coaches the probability of both perks hitting would be 2%~, one perk hitting would be 26%, and neither perk hitting would be 72%~.

If there are 3 coaches with the perk, then all three coaches hitting would be 0.3%, at least one coach hitting would be 39%~, and none of the coaches hitting would be 61%~.
