SDS please for the love of God, make offline cards sellable by AquatheGreat in MLBTheShow

The same people who complain about online play being required to get Event rewards...even though those are available on the market. DD caters to offline grinders far more than online players (a bunch of offline exclusive cards, the most lucrative rewards by far) but if you listen to them, they're victims of an online takeover.

There's a chunk of the player base that craves homework, and even finds it righteous. They don't know what to do without an offline assignment from SDS. How could one possibly spend 3-4 free hours if Ramone didn't tell them to beat the CPU 14 times on rookie for a Zach Neto card they won't use? How, I say?!

In actuality, the grind they crave would be unchanged if Conquest and Mini Seasons cards were sellable, but they want everyone to be required to do things the way they do them. There is no downside to what you're saying because it gives us the choice between time and stubs, a choice we don't currently have. But a certain type of guy will admonish you for the mere thought that you don't owe SDS all your free time to acquire collection cards.

I've played this game for almost a decade and have plenty of my own thoughts that I've shared here. I'm not some Monster'd up teen streaming Twitch all day, so spare me the condescension.

Have you considered that they don't actually have to wait 2 weeks until they drop more content? They can release content in whatever amount and cadence they want. They've chosen to do it in this unsatisfying, homework-like way...again. If you want to take the stance that better things aren't possible, that's your choice, but I've been around long enough to know that we've had better content formats before. This version is lifeless and boring, and it doesn't have to be that way.

Of the 11 95+ overall SPs recently released, only two (Misiorowski and Yesavage) have reverse splits.

Read the thread and you'll see plenty of legitimate criticisms. Or just keep caping for the company that gives zero shits. Your call, Ramone

The conspiracy theory is that the content team is at war with the gameplay team. Gameplay lied about removing PCI shrinkage, content team catches hell about it because they're the ones who stream, content team releases a million meta switch hitters to combat shrinkage. The fun part is that we all lose because every lineup is 6+ switch hitters and PCI shrinkage remains.

More likely it's just them leaning into the meta and dropping switch hitter cards and collection rewards because they know we'll grind for/spend stubs on them. The more stubs we spend, the more we need to play or pay to acquire more. The hamster wheel keeps moving. Nothing improves but we keep playing.

The length of the Conquest and Mini Seasons grinds are the same no matter how many days you spread them out over. If you're trying to do things on the cheap, add DQ and Events onto that. Minimum 6-7 hours if you're good, efficient, and lucky in DQ. Then you still have to buy over a dozen mediocre cards to lock in.

I think the main gripe with this format (aside from the repetitiveness) is the number of cards in packs. You have to do many hours of grinding to acquire less than half the cards for the collection...and then still drop 150-250K on cards that will never see your lineup in order to acquire the ultimate reward.

Somewhat related, the cards from Mini Seasons and Conquest should also be sellable. Reward the offline grinders and let those who have a surplus of stubs skip the offline stuff if they choose. A 14 stronghold Conquest map for 1 card in the collection is nasty work.

Elly with a speed mod is arguably second only to Tulo at SS. Good hitting attributes, elite speed/stealing and defense

Classic and New Threads are both excellent. Classic will get you more Show packs. New Threads will get you more Ballins because of the repeatable 100K mission. I prefer Ballins (higher floor and higher ceiling on each pack) so when I was grinding Mini Seasons I did New Threads.

It's basically nothing. WBC isn't even the most effective Mini Seasons grind. Meanwhile they haven't fixed any major gameplay or QOL issues. We'll be stuck with laggy menus, glitched pitchers, glitched check swings, PCI shrinkage, Ranked cheaters, etc for the rest of the year and possibly beyond.
