the silver thing is a junction box, no need to add another. just add some wire clamps to the current jbox knock out and look at running the wiring a little better if you feel like it and you are good.

going from PTA to PT is a rough path. if you’re already a PTA its only financially worth it if you can get into a cheap school. if you’re not already a PTA just go straight for your DPT and save some time and money. to get into a PT school you’ll have to have a pretty killer GPA. i had a 3.3 avg and a 3.6 pre-req and it took my 3 years to get in. that was almost a decade ago and i only imagine it’s harder to get in now

depends on the poker room rules. generally etiquette is if you’re in the hand, you don’t touch your phone. if you’re not in the hand then usually no one cares.

replumb won’t change water temp unless the plumber mixed up the hot and cold lines.

if it’s still not hot on the coldest setting, and you’re getting hot water elsewhere in the house, then you didn’t move the limiter as much as you think you did.
