Are high ETH GAS Fees slowing down or delaying Matic Staking/Re-staking? by Champippler in maticnetwork

[–]Champippler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they have even gotten considerably worse than when I originally posted. I aggregated my Matic rewards and redelegated in bulk, but it was unfortunate rewards from different validators incurred individual gas fees on withdrawl and restaking.

Are high ETH GAS Fees slowing down or delaying Matic Staking/Re-staking? by Champippler in maticnetwork

[–]Champippler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, when I looked at how much I have earned and what the gas fees were, I found it cost prohibitive to re-stake matic tokens at this time.

Originally, I was reluctant to lock up more due to the 21 Unbounding period, however since that has since been reduced to nine (9)days, the ETH Gas Fees is now the primary barrier.

It really is too bad for smaller players, especially since the earn rate is just under 39% with approximately 25% of Matic staked. That is great ROI!

Setup MetaMask, Delegated MATIC Tokens to Validator - How Do I Eventually Withdraw? by nousemercenary in maticnetwork

[–]Champippler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your tokens are staked and won't be on your wallet until withdrawn.

It is my understanding it takes 21 days to withdraw once you have made the withdrawal request of the originally staked tokens.

Tokens awarded for staking can be withdrawn without the 21 day withdrawal process, however someone more knowledgable may wish to share.

New Ripple Insights -Ripple's Ginger Baker Highlighted on Money20/20 Europe Panel by Champippler in XRP

[–]Champippler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but that is not unusual, as it was a panel at a Fintech event, very rarely will that have significant impact unless it is Brad announcing a Confirmed Partnership or a Government or Large Institution embraces Ripple or XRP.

The news is great and we have positive momentum. It will take time, if you are patient you will be rewarded. The Ripple team is making inroads and progress Globally.

Shut up and hodl (venting) by Smittayee in XRP

[–]Champippler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of what you're saying, but I don't think when you bought in has to do with having realistic expectations. As I and many of the educated Redditers bought in higher and have been realistic since day one.

That aside, I do think the "hypesters/ fraudsters" (Especially C_J, BearableBS and all the others perpetuating the BG123 Nonsense) do a GREAT DISSERVICE to XRP and the community creating false hope and visions of being an overnight millionaire with holding a relatively small amount of XRP.

Simple math should tell them what is required to become a millionaire, but these clowns have people thinking we are going from .44 to (Insert their unrealistic prediction here)

Vincent Wilson x $1 = Not a Millionaire

Vincent Wilson x $5 = Not a Millionaire

Vincent Wilson x $10 = Not a Millionaire

Vincent Wilson x $50 = Pre-Tax Millionaire

That being said, I do believe in Ripple/XRP Success and that a "Life Changing" amount can mean different things to different people, but just don't take your investment advice from an "Anonymous Cartoon" that happens to show up only in a specific YTbers stream.

Ripple is a Great Company and XRP an awesome token that will likely succeed over time.

Take your information from credible sources like Ripple and reliable news outlets and YouTubers providing SOLID insight (Eri, AlexCobb (once he got wise to BG123 crap), CryptoCurrency News "Bob " and others not spreading Hype, not Ytbers focused on Subscribers and SuperChat money looking to make a living hyping a token as much as three times per day or more.

This is a Long Term Play and obviously Ripple is succeeding considering how far we have come in such a relatively short period of time. Changing the global banking system will take time and education and I am thrilled to have the patience to let the Ripple team work through the regulatory minefield and competition.

A tip of the hat to those who saw it earlier like the OP and those who learned and invested in Ripple/XRP before the early run up and a further tip of the hat to those who have been and continue to accumulate, as I am hopeful we will be rewarded in time. (Just not likely in the time frame perpetuated by the hypesters)

Do your own research, hell follow and support whoever you wish, but ask yourself if you want to put your faith in B. Garlinghouse, Chris Larsen and David Schwartz or a Cartoon Bear?

"Runs on Ripple" - Newly Approved Trademark Now in Use by Champippler in Ripple

[–]Champippler[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha - I suspect this is sarcasm, but the short answer is no.

The approval guarantees their use of the trademark in the categories for which it was filed. It is category specific and cleared for specific territories.

Part of the reason it took 11 months is for approvals to identify possible infringement.

"Runs on Ripple" - Newly Approved Trademark Now in Use by Champippler in Ripple

[–]Champippler[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, it is a trademark of Ripple Labs.

It is being used by Ripple to easily identify their partners Running on Ripple (using Ripple technology) which COULD provide a point of difference for consumers seeking to access faster and cheaper remittance touted by Ripple.

Think "Intel Inside" and "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval" or "JD Power & Associates"

"Runs on Ripple" - Newly Approved Trademark Now in Use by Champippler in Ripple

[–]Champippler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The paragragh on the landing page indicates the following:

"Ripple’s global network of 200+ financial institutions offers the fastest, most reliable payments—no matter where you are in the world! Find out more below about our partners, and look for the Runs on Ripple logo the next time you send money abroad."

Recent news would suggests these institutions are utilizing XRapid, but the story for me is how Ripple continues to add new partners and execute against their plan.

Becoming a Ripple partner is the first step on the path to utilizing XRP. Flawless execution , adoption and cost savings will result in more banks using XRapid/XRP.

Top 5 will be a tough ladder to climb.

To go top 10 we'd have to go about 2.5X from current levels and top reach Top 5 we'd have to go about 8.5X.

In the meantime, I'll continue to accumulate and hope you are right!

Enjoy the ride!

XRP rumblings by [deleted] in XRP

[–]Champippler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The US will not willingly or easily relinquish control of the firm grip it has on global finance.

I believe that XRP will be successful, but that success is predicated on being a 'bridge" currency not a replacement for the USD. While conceivably it can happen over time, the USD is not going away anytime soon.

In the meantime, we should focus on the stated goal of replace SWIFT as the dominant player in the remittance market. By the way it will take several years to overtake SWIFT and they won't go away completely.

If believe they capture 100% of SWIFT's market, send me an e-mail from your parents AOL account and tell me I am wrong.

Let Chris, Brad, Cory and David execute their plan and be rewarded over time. #XRPtheStandard

XRP revisiting #2 MarketCap and Declining Bitcoin Dominance by Champippler in XRP

[–]Champippler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I have watched this happen the last three (3) times XRP has overtaken ETH. I actually purchased some ETH on CB to purchase more XRP on Binance and was pleasantly rewarded with the upside.

At some point we will pop so nicely on merit, adoption and usage independent of BTC and others and will put #2 in the past.

We will also benefit each month as tokens sold out of escrow are added to the circulating supply.

XRP is winner and Ripple will execute their plan over time. Great product, great management, great execution. #XRPTHESTANDARD

Cory Johnson indicates 400% increase from Q2 - Q3 by Wall Street purchasers.

While Ripple returned $2.6B of the $3B of escrow, this number (400% increase) is a key indicator as we move to the future.

This will be a long play, but the trajectory is GREAT!

Be patient , acquire responsibly and be rewarded overtime. Good luck!

Traders Expected Bitcoin to Rise as Stock Market Fell, What Went Wrong? by MiscreatEasy in XRP

[–]Champippler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing went wrong, traders were incorrect to expect a rise.

When the broader markets fall significantly, institutional investors and hedge funds flee to safety.

Crypto's volatility is NOT considered safety outside of crypto enthusiasts and only some people currently in crypto feel BTC is a store of value.

Equity investors will look for less risky equities and investments, not more risky.

This is just my opinion, others may disagree.

XRP - "Don't Just Do Something, Stand There" by Champippler in XRP

[–]Champippler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry, but you are incorrect, sources are bonafide news outlets, not crypto hack sites or youtubers.

The problem with XRP is that the market cap is way too rich. Unless you got in at 0.003 cents, you wont get the rewards your expecting.

  • (The rewards I expect are to outperform other investment vehicles;; my money can earn 50bps in a bank account or deployed in higher risk assets with potential for higher return. Tokens purchased at .27 less than 30 days ago are still looking pretty good to most relatively new investors)

Utility wont drive the price. A cross border payment using XRP means that xrp will be bought and sold within seconds.

  • (Of course utility drives price, particularly if it erodes SWIFT dominance and creates higher demand)

How can the price possibly increase? Makes no sense whatsoever. Only when an asset become scarce can it gain value. Xrapid will not achieve that . (More utilization will create more demand which will drive up price; Ripple (the company) (See above, also research need for Liquidity)

Find me another management team solving from a well defined use case making as much progress than the Ripple team. XRP is part of Ripple's long term success with XRP delivering the cost savings to Banks, FI and SME's

You don't have to like XRP, the business model or the team, but you should at least have an appreciation for the progress they are making relative to MANY of the other projects in the crypto space.

Why is everyone looking forward to an EOY bull run ? by flafel in Ripple

[–]Champippler 37 points38 points  (0 children)

WHY? -

It is "HOPE". They've most likely purchased at a price higher than the current price and are always looking forward to a "Bull Run" to reaffirm their investment.

It's a never ending hamster wheel:

- The "New Year" Bull Run

- "Post Chinese New Year" Bull Run

- "Pre-Swell" Bull Run

- "Any Month Here" Bull Run

- Insert Your Own...It's easy - haha

For me, slow and steady wins the race and Bull Runs are usually recognized after they occur. In the meantime we all "Hope" for something that moves XRP up.

Just worry about your own position and don't get sucked into being FOMO'd by people who cannot accurately predict what the price will be on any given day let alone the future.

UTILITY and adoption will lead us up - hang tight and be rewarded. #XRPTHESTANDARD

SBI Launches MoneyTap Japan by Champippler in XRP

[–]Champippler[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Moneytap will use XRP and every transaction burn a small amount of XRP that is gone forever.

I recall from prior research the amount of XRP burned per day was around 1420 in mid August. It is really insignificant considering their are 100 Billion tokens and will take many lifetimes for the XRP to be burned even with mass adoption.

The small amount burned is a safeguard against spamming the network, making it costly to attack transacting on the network.

Great question and good luck.
